25.01.2022 PONYTAIL PROJECT | Sarah-Rose was first inspired to #rockthechop when she watched a video on social media of girls receiving their new wigs, she was so moved watching the excitement on the childrens faces that she wanted to get involved. After mum explained why some people lose their hair and how people can help, Sarah-Rose immediately wanted to get involved and asked if she could give them some of her hair. On the 5th of September Sarah-Rose and her mum are having a 20cm chop where their hair will be used towards making wigs for someone affected by cancer. We are so inspired by you Sarah-Rose and cant wait to hear updates of your journey when you are in for lessons on Fridays.

24.01.2022 EXERCISE FOR MENTAL HEALTH| Something we dont often talk about is how much exercise can help our mental health, for some even more than others. During the closure, though it may have seemed a little strange, part of why we danced on TikTok, exercised on Youtube, played words with friends, and had zoom coffee catch ups was very much to help our community in this area. Cheryl is one of our long time Swan Active members and she shared her story about her mental health and the importance of exercise with the ABC.

22.01.2022 WHERE ARE THEY NOW | Who remembers swim instructor Bree?? I started working at Swan Active when I was 17, I was in my last year of high school (almost 6 years ago now). I now work as a full time registered nurse and attend lessons weekly with my 1 year old son Ash! He loves the water and swimming lessons and we are often down at the pools 2-3 times a week! Im so lucky to say that I met some of my best friends working at Swan Active Ballajura and love how each and every time we come down were still treated like family We are so proud of you Bree and love to see you coming in with your little man
