10.01.2022 Looking for an idea for a Christmas gift? Local historian Ian Itter has recently published his new book 'Channels, pipes & flumes : bringing water to the Mallee.' This book is a brief history of the two most vital water delivery systems in the North West Mallee region of Victoria. Using details gathered from many sources, Ian has been able to piece together the story of the Nyah to Manangatang Stock & Domestic System and the Cannie Ridge Stock and Domestic Channel systems. Ian's book is available for purchase from the Swan Hill Library for $35 each (cash only).

07.01.2022 Have you heard the good news? The Swan Hill Library is back to being open on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm. Open hours: Monday to Friday: 10am to 5.30pm Wednesday: 7pm to 8.30pm... Saturday: 10am to 12pm You can browse, borrow, pick up reserves, use the computers or Wi-Fi, print, copy and scan. Please note that State Government restrictions still apply to the number of people in the library. Time restrictions are also in place. If you have a query, call us on 5036 2480. 01.01.2022 EASING RESTRICTIONS! Following the most recent State Government announcements, we're excited to welcome more people into the library. You can now spend as much time as you want in the library We are open Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 5.30pm, Wednesday 7pm to 8.30pm and Saturday 10am to 12pm.... We still have COVID safe measures in place, and ask that you follow these when visiting the library: Face masks must be worn at all times. We are required to record the details of all visitors including your first name and contact number Please follow social distancing guidelines and maintain a 1.5 metre distance from other visitors and staff at all times. The Mobile Library schedule will remain modified for the remainder of the year, with restrictions on how many people can be in the mobile library at a time..
