25.01.2022 Covid-19 Update; Patient safety has always been our highest priority. Our standard measures of hygiene are already exceptional, but we have taken further steps to ensure there is minimal risk to you and your family whilst attending the clinic. We have already implemented social distancing measures, and have disinfectant procedures after every client leaves our treatment rooms and practice. If you or a member of your household has returned from overseas in the last 14 days, please contact the clinic to reschedule your appointment. Please call the clinic with any concerns you have or to get any further information on our practice hygiene.

21.01.2022 Happy Monday Peeps! Less so if you're one of the 80% of people who will suffer from back pain in their time... Check out our new 'Back Pain' page in our common injuries section. It will give you a brief run down about it. We'll be putting a blog up next week too, with a little bit more detail... Stay tuned! http://www.swanphysiotherapy.com.au/page/back-pain/

20.01.2022 My first blog provides a quick warm-down routine that honestly is a must-do after exercise (the extended version includes photos showing the correct technique too) http://www.swanphysiotherapy.com.au//If-you-only-have-5-m/

19.01.2022 This weeks workout at CrossFit Artax and a few tips to die a little bit less during and after!!

18.01.2022 Let's talk about fall prevention... Did you know that falls account for more than DOUBLE the fatal injuries and non-fatal hospitalisations caused by transport related (ie car) accidents. And... in the year 2051, if these trends continue, 2500 additional hospital beds would have to be PERMANENTLY allocated to treat falls. The good news is that falls are preventable when you take balance seriously. It's why I've written this blog which includes some key advice about balance tr...aining and why it's so important to start now. I've also included a quick test so you can test your own balance - check it out here http://www.swanphysiotherapy.com.au//Preventing-falls-a-g/

12.01.2022 Hey All, Swan Physiotherapy and CrossFit Artax are pairing up for this years CrossFit Open. Here's the first of the video's we'll be doing to help everyone get the best out of the week's workout!!

10.01.2022 We see a heap of different types of injuries at Swan Physio so we thought it would be helpful to give some insights into the most common ones (and how you can deal with them at home!) Take a look here: http://www.swanphysiotherapy.com.au/page/common-injuries/

10.01.2022 This guy He’s my new hero. Yes, he’s stabbing me in my injured shoulder with some needles but oh my Lordy the relief and range of movement afterwards!! ... If you’ve been following on my personal profile or Instagram you’ll know I messed up my shoulder pretty badly 6 weeks ago - and the amazing Cody from Swan Physiotherapy has been looking after me ever since. His motto is Do your rehab properly one time, or poorly five times ... and although this frustrates me (get me back to training NOW!!!) I know he’s right. Thanks for looking after me me Cody. You’re a legend. PS ... I’ll put a video in the comments for those who want a closer look, and even though I do appear to be in a bit of pain (cos I am!!) it’s because he’s getting the right spots with the needles. It’s a ‘good hurt’ - you know what I mean! SJ #SwanPhysio #DryNeedlingRocks #SweetRelief

09.01.2022 Shoulder pain... super common! It's one of the injuries that is less forgiving than others. It should NOT be ignored as it can be something that leads to some really significant consequences, including surgery. Check out our new blog that introduces a series that gives you a run down of some of the common injuries that we see, including exactly what the injury is, its effects, how YOU can help yourself, and how we can help you get back to your best as fast as possible with ...a treatment program tailored to your exact injury. http://www.swanphysiotherapy.com.au//Common-injuries-how-/

09.01.2022 Hi World... Just added the 'Book Now' button. Click away, come and see us if you need. If you need to ask a question for some reason, of course just click 'Message' and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Happy Hump Day :)

08.01.2022 There was some incorrect info published, suggesting Physio's were closed with the more recent restrictions. Physio clinics are STILL OPEN... just make sure you pick the right one in this testing time. We keep people moving, and out of pain. If you're at risk because of age or being immunocompromised, please stay home! But if you need to see us, and you're safe to do so... Practice social distancing on the way to visit us, wait in your car until 2 minutes before your appointme...nt, use the provided hand sanitiser as soon as you enter the clinic, and as you leave. Make sure the Physio clinic you're seeing is screening patients that shouldn't be coming in, and make sure they are COMPLETELY disinfecting EVERY touch point between each patient... like we do here at Swan Physiotherapy. Literally EVERY surface that gets touched by a patient, their belongings, reception staff and the physio gets disinfected between patients. We are located near a Doctors surgery, and they have some really scary stories from their colleagues at home and abroad... aside from coming to see us, or making necessary trips to the doctors, or doing other essential things, stay at home. And even to minimise trips to see health professionals, take advantage of TELEHEALTH where you can. The time has passed for any socialisation with friends and family, as has buying unnecessary things that others have handled. Stay at home please! We know this is a testing time for everyone. But if we all pull together and do the right thing, we will get through this quicker!
