18.01.2022 They are in, the results of our first virtual exhibition. Some great images and many thanks to Cyrus for judging all the images. With no physical meeting there were no print images to judge, so it was only the Digital Set and Digital Open. The set theme was inanimate macro which brought out some very clever images, all of which can be seen in the gallery on our website at www.swanvalleycameraclub.com. The winners this month were ....... Drum roll please ...... Digital Se...t - Alan Wiley with his image "Petrified Lemon" Digital Open - Gary Tindale with his image "Raven" Congratulations to all the club members who entered this month, it was very close, with only a few points between the winners and Honourable Mentions

06.01.2022 So yesterday the club took a trip to Penguin Island to give members a chance to capture some wildlife in action. It was a cold start, but by the time we had partaken of coffee and settled in for the 5 minute ferry ride over to the island the sun was out and it was turning in to a gorgeous day. 10 of us made it to the island and we wandered around the for a few hours having a pleasant time taking in the views, the wildlife and even remembering to take some pictures. Many thanks to all the members who joined us for a great day, I hope you got some good shots. PS, Pelican shots are banned from all exhibitions until April 2020.

04.01.2022 Well after the fun of last weeks competition/presentation night being cancelled due to a lack of power at the Grapevine. I decided to provide feedback on the images directly and as a result have uploaded all the digital images onto my website http://www.gptphotography.com.au with critiques They are stored in a secure gallery available only to Club members. If you received my email the login details are there, if not, send me an email and I will reply with the relevant details.

04.01.2022 The result is in ..... And it is a Tie... Our club Competition for the print of the year resulted in being shared by Ron McGrechan for his image of St Marys Church and Jim Newell with a great image from Port Hedland Salt http://swanvalleycameraclub.com//St-Marys-Ron.jpg-nggid038

03.01.2022 With all that is going on at the moment with COVID 19, AKA Coronavirus, the club committee have made the difficult decision to suspend all club meetings at the grapevine with immediate effect. Whilst the meetings will not go ahead we are looking at ways to use the website to provide workshop information and to manage the monthly exhibitions virtually so there is no excuse to not take pictures (We should get plenty of inanimate macro images submitted :-) ) We will continue to monitor the situation and will be back at the grapevine as soon as we can and will keep everyone up to date vie Facebook and email.
