25.01.2022 ADOPTED! Adele This little lady came into our care through SAFE Avon Valley, and has quickly won our hearts. We named her Adele because she just loves vocalising, and she also loves attention and pats. She will knead with vigor just at your approach! Adele is roughly 10 months old but being a rescue we do not know her history but we do know she is tolerant of children.... Her adoption fee is $200 which includes both her kitten vaccinations, desexing, worming, and flea treatment. If you think you have the perfect home for Adele, please email [email protected] with your details. We prefer all adoptees to be indoor cats only as it is safer for both them and wildlife.

24.01.2022 ** ON TRIAL** Catrick Swayze, the black and white boy, found a home but unfortunately had to be returned as he required a bit more attention that his potential owners could provide. The original adopters think he would be best with a kitty friend to play with and keep him company. Do you know anyone who could give this little man a (third) chance? Please send all inquiries to [email protected]

24.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** Adopted! We have 11-12 week old kittens ready for homes. Cookie is a black female, Comet is a black male, and Mittens is a black and white female. They are $200 to adopt, which includes both of their kitten vaccinations, microchipping, worming and flea treatment. When they are 6 months, their desexing will also be covered. Please email [email protected] if you wish to be considered to adopt these beauties. In your application make sure you outline your ...current pet situation, any previous cat/kitten experience, kids, work/home balance, indoors vs outdoors etc. The more information you provide, the better :) Cookie - adopted Comet - adopted Mittens - adopted

24.01.2022 HI! WE ARE UP FOR ADOPTION! Both adopted! Our names are: Fred (more ginger) and George (more white) Our age is: Approx 4 months old Our adoption fee is: $200 each... Our adoption fee includes: Both kitten vaccinations, microchipping, flea treatment, and worming. It also includes desexing when we reach 6 months old. A bit about us: We were found as strays with our mum. We have never known what it is like to have a safe home and so we were very scared and bordering on feral when we were handed in. However, through the persistent love of the vet nurses here we have come to understand that the world can be a kind place. When we are comfortable with the human giving us attention, we unleash our purrs and don’t stop! We will happily fall asleep in their arms or snuggled up together. We are not fond of dogs but we are social with other cats and kittens. It's best if we go to homes with no children (or older children) and no dogs (or older, quiet dogs) as boisterousness still makes us scared. if you think you can offer one or more of these babies a loving home, send your adoption application through to [email protected] with your details, pet situation, cat ownership experience, household situation, whether they will be indoor or outdoor, and any other information you think is relevant. If you are not in the situation to adopt, please share! ADOPTION STATUS Fred: adopted George: adopted

24.01.2022 APPOINTMENTS Due to the busy holiday season, we are currently experiencing extended waiting times for Walk In Consultations. If you need to see the vet, please book 3 7 days ahead, as wait times may disappoint.

If you think you have a home for her, please email [email protected]

22.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** ADOPTED Thank you for your overwhelming response. We have many potential suitors who have emailed and are not taking any more applications at this time This beautiful little lady is named Leia, she was dropped off with her brother Luke on Star Wars Day this year at only a few weeks old. She went to a loving home but unfortunately was returned as a family member had allergies. She is about 11 weeks old, and her $200 adoption fee includes kitten vaccin...ations and sterilisation, and she will go to her new home worm and flea free. If you think you have the perfect home for this perfect girl, please send an email through to [email protected] telling us about your home and other pets. We would prefer an indoor-only home.

21.01.2022 * UP FOR ADOPTION * Adopted Jan was one of our Brady Bunch adoptees and through no fault of her own has been returned to us. She is currently 13 weeks old. She is very shy but once she warms up to you is a playful little lady. She doesn't particularly like other animals but tolerates them, and would be fine with gentle children. She was found wandering the street at only a few weeks old and was raised with 5 other misfits until she was ready to be rehomed. ... Think you can offer her the perfect home? Send your adoption through to [email protected] with your details, pet situation, cat ownership experience, household situation, whether she will be indoor or outdoor, and any other information you think is relevant. Her adoption fee is $200.

21.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** Meet Holly! Holly was brought to us by SAFE Avon Valley, who collected her from Goomalling Rangers. A shy little lady, but sweet, she is only about 10 months old but has already had a litter of kittens! For this reason we need to wait a few weeks before we spay her, but we have vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated her. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her booster kitten vaccination as well as desexing when they are due. If you think you can provide the warm loving home that this little lady deserves, please email [email protected] to express your interest. The more information you provide the better - other pets, children, work situation, etc. Please note that we prefer all adoptees to be indoor only - secure cat runs are of course okay!

17.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** ON TRIAL Hi there Im Suki, a beautiful sassy lass with a mind of my own looking for somewhere wonderful to call home. I am an affectionate and sweet natured girl who will happily come and snooze beside you on the couch or sit on your lap; but I am also playful and cheeky and sometimes I get my claws out! ... My rough play is too much for children, plus in my past home I had my hair yanked and my tail tugged by little hands... so an adult-only home is what Im seeking. I might be happy to life with a cat who is younger than me and willing to engage in my games, but I think my ideal home is one where Im the only cat, so I can have my own domain. In my previous home I had access to both inside and out - I love to laze in the sun, roll in the dirt and catch mice! So a home with a cat enclosure or a safe yard where I can have some outdoor time would be purr-fect. If I sound like your kinda gal, adopt me today! My adoption fee is $150 and I come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. Please send your application to [email protected] :)

17.01.2022 TOOTHBRUSH SALE!! For a limited time, we are selling small and large breed toothbrushes at cost price only $8! Did you know, just like us, our pets are at risk of dental disease? ... One of the best ways to support the health of your pets teeth is by brushing Again, just like us the mechanical design and use of a toothbrush, and a good quality toothpaste can clean the surface of teeth, fight bacteria, remove debris and consequently freshen breath. Routine attention to your pets teeth may prevent the need for a professional dental procedure under anaesthetic, and it can dramatically improve your pets overall health and wellbeing. Food debris and bacteria can lead to rapid plaque build-up and gingivitis. Without proper preventative care, this can permanently damage the tissues and structures supporting your pets teeth. Poor oral health will eventually cause halitosis (bad breath), inflammation and pain (remember your last tooth ache?), tooth loss, and even organ failure. At their normal price of $15.30, this is a bargain be sure to pick one up before they disappear!

I was brought in to Swan Vet and nobody has claimed me, so I am looking for a forever home. I am shy because I am only about 12 weeks old, but I dont attack, and I am a great companion when I am comfortable. If you think you have a great home for me, please email [email protected] outlining your current situation - such as other pets, whether I would be indoors or outdoors, previous pet ownership etc. My adoption fee is $200 and includes kitten vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, and desexing in a couple of months when Im older. 14.01.2022 Two strays have been handed to us from Palmer Crescent in High Wycombe. Both are petrified (hence the bad photos) but have no collars or microchips. We cannot ascertain whether they are male or female at this stage as they are too fear reactive to examine. Please share so that we can get these kids home! Update: unfortunately with the large number of strays we have at the moment, these guys have been transferred into the care of Mundaring Rangers. Please contact them on 9290 6666 with any enquiries.

13.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** on hold Excuse me! Hello? My name is Feliz! I am about a year old, although that's not exact because I have been wondering the street until last week when I was brought in as a stray. Nobody has come forward to claim me, which makes me sad because I am a very affectionate boy. So, I have had all of my vetwork done and am ready to go to a new home! The only thing is that I have been stressed and gave myself a (temporary) urinary issue so I need to be on a... special diet until those stress levels come down - I'm sure having a place to call home will help tremendously! I have had enough roaming to last a lifetime so it's best for me and the wildlife around me if I stay indoors or have a secure cat run. My adoption fee is $150 and I come vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, wormed, and flea treated. If you think you could welcome me into your home, please email [email protected] outlining your suitability as my new family (other animals, children etc). Love, Feliz

10.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** ADOPTED Do you remember Timmy? He was adopted after his hold period ran out but had to be returned as he was urinating inappropriately in the house (we think a neighbourhood cat was teasing him). For this reason we are making the unusual request to rehome him as an outdoor cat. He needs to be either in a netted property so he cannot go out of bounds, or on a large property out of the inner suburbs. Timmy is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and flead. His adoption fee is $120. Please send all inquiries to [email protected] and as usual, tag tag tag!! #FreeTimmy

09.01.2022 ** UP FOR ADOPTION ** ALL ADOPTED !! We have four cats available at the moment! Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were surrendered by their previous owner. It would be best if we went together but we will be okay if we go to separate forever homes. Bubbles is Blossoms and Buttercups mum, and is two years old. Blossom and Buttercup are six months old. All are good with other children and other cats, but have been untested with dogs. All are smoochy and loving, and with no prev...ious health concerns. Flamingo is an 18 month stray from Wongan Hills. She is sweet and gentle, and seems fine with other animals. She hasnt been tested with children but her temperament points to her being fine around them. All cats come vaccinated, wormed, flead, and desexed. If you think you have the perfect home and are interested in adoption, please send an email through to [email protected] outlining your home situation (other pets, whether they would be indoors or outdoors etc).

08.01.2022 ** ADOPTED ** Carol Carol has come to us all the way from Kalgoorlie, at roughly only 9 months old. She has the most beautiful nature and loves smooching; her soft as silk fur makes her irresistible! She is sporting an interesting haircut on her tail as we clipped the matted fur off her, and she needs to be fed high quality kitten food until her body condition improves, but apart from that is in excellent health; especially for a mumma! Carol's adoption fee is $150, which in...cludes vaccination, microchip, worming, and flea treatment. She has very recently weaned kittens so is not desexed yet, but it will be covered in the adoption fee when her milk supply dries up (in about 8 weeks). Please send all inquiries to [email protected]. The more information you add about your situation the better - other animals, work, kids, environment .... (NOTE: inquiries are not yet open for kittens!)

08.01.2022 Hello our wonderful community! If you are gifted new towels this holiday period and don't need your old ones, we are more than happy to take them! Do your parents have a million spare towels "just in case" but never have anyone sleepover? We'll take them! Did you go insomnia-shopping online at Kmart and get enough towels for a boarding school? We'll take them! We have been inundated with hospital patients and are desperate. We use them for hospital patients, day surgery patient's cages, between operating table and patient to keep them warm, wrapping the patient after surgery to maintain their temperature ... the list goes on, and each patient needs fresh towels. We're sure you can imagine just how many towels we go through, so any contribution would be greatly appreciated <3

07.01.2022 We all know dogs age faster, but did you know the bigger the dog, the faster they age? We recommend regular blood checks for mature and geriatric pets to keep an eye on diseases that can rear their head with age such as kidney disease, liver disease, and diabetes. Give us a call if you would like a senior health check for your furry friend. :)

07.01.2022 Planning a holiday up North? Taking your beloved pooch? Please keep reading! Ehrlichiosis is a disease that occurs when a brown dog tick infected with the bacteria Ehrlichia canis bites a dog. A few months ago, in the Kimberley region of WA, E. canis was confirmed for the first time in Australian dogs. Initial signs of infection are non-specific and can take weeks or months to develop, and the chronic phase of the disease can be fatal. Dogs do not transmit the disease... directly to one another; it is transmitted via ticks. To help prevent ehrlichiosis occurring, check your dog thoroughly and regularly for ticks, and carefully remove any; do this every morning and evening if you are spending time in tick-prone areas pay attention to the neck, head, ears, armpits and belly. Maintain regular parasite treatment with a preventative product that covers brown dog ticks (such as NexGard), and always follow the packet instructions. They were rescued from a hoarder house in York, where they lived with 22 other cats! Safe to say they are good with other cats; in fact it would be preferable to have a feline companion or even be adopted together. Ron Furgandy is the ginger, and shyer than Catrick Swayze, but both are quite loving once they get comfortable. Their adoption fee is $200 each (a small discount will be given if adopted together). Please send enquiries to [email protected] outlining your current situation including other pets.
