25.01.2022 This Movie was filmed in and around Swan View by a Swan View Resident. The Swan View Tunnel features. Just a thought how many know the Tunnel is actually not in Swan View. What locality is it in?

23.01.2022 On 31st October Swan View Community Association (SVCA) had a clean up of the Talbot Rd Bushland. This was our third clean up of the Bushland and I will try to pst on Facebook notices of further clean ups. the attached photos are of this clean up maps of areas we have done and areas still to be done and of our second cleanup

16.01.2022 The State Government is planning to close the railway crossings at Helena Street, Midland, and Robinson Road, Bellevue. Bellevue Residents and Ratepayers Association (BRRA) are making efforts to keep Robinson Road open - president Mark Richards is pictured right. The Midland area is effectively divided into north and south Midland by the railway. There are only 7 north-south road crossings (excluding The Roe Highway) in the Midland area. The closure of the Robinson Road cross...ing would have a significant impact on the Midland Road network in Bellevue, particularly for users of Clayton Street, which is becoming a very busy and important road.If you think Metronet closing Robinson Road is a bad idea, you need to let your elected representatives know including: Midland Guildford Ward Councillors - [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] The reason I ask you to email me and my fellow Ward Councillors is, that as elected representatives, our influence is increased if we can demonstrate we have public support. Also contact State MLA Hon Michelle Roberts ([email protected] ), and Federal MP Ken Wyatt ([email protected]) MLCs: Tim Clifford ([email protected]) and Charles Smith ([email protected]) And of course the Planning Minister, Rita Saffiotti MLA ([email protected]) Don’t leave it to someone else. Robinson Road needs to stay OPEN. There is no valid reason to close it.

03.01.2022 Led by Regional Development Australia Perth (RDA Perth), the Perth Hills Strategic Visioning project will develop a high-level shared strategic vision for the Perth Hills. This has initial support from the CEOs of the Cities of Armadale, Kalamunda and Swan; and the Shires of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, and Mundaring. The focus will be on the shared geography, issues and objectives. This will assist RDA Perth, the local governments, businesses and community groups to advocate more effectively for outcomes of collective benefit across the district. It will also assist State and Federal agencies to engage more constructively across the needs and issues and support proactive development of the Perth Hills. 03.01.2022 UPDATE: Peet Ltd. will relocate the kangaroos on their land. City of Swan working on a wildlife management policy.... Brabham, a kangaroos living hell. For some time now, we have been aware of issues in this area and led to believe by all parties involved that a solution was imminent. Sadly it hasn't been the case. We now need to bring this to YOUR attention, we need YOU the public to help us! Very few people are actually aware of what is happening due to the lack of public involvement. Years have passed and still the trapped defenceless kangaroos are being subjected to arrow attacks (another incident last night), unlawful shootings, 4WD vehicles running them down and nightly road deaths. The questions have to be asked; Why is it taking so long for the developers to put right this wrong? Why have the City of Swan and DBCA allowed it to get so bad? Where is the protection for these national icons? Their land is getting smaller and smaller as developers bulldoze the remaining paddocks that have been their home for generations. They are surrounded by properties and residents who have to wake up to this carnage on a daily basis. Surely these wild animals deserve better protection. Where are the ethics of all involved in this cruel slow torture? This post may come across too strong but we have to PUSH for a CHANGE. Time is running out for these kangaroos, they can no longer wait for decisions years in the making. Please contact the Developer's and City of Swan and demand they give a timeline of how long these animals are going to be held captive, subjected to nightly road deaths and cruelty before they are helped? All our voices are now urgently needed to stop their suffering. credit 7 News
