25.01.2022 As you will be aware, Perth, Peel and the South West have been placed into a strict five-day lockdown as of 6pm Sunday, til at this stage 6pm on Friday. Clearly this means that this week's cricket training and all club activities need to be cancelled for all of our teams effective immediately. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops over the course of the week and will provide a further update later in the week once we know what will and won’t be possible in ...the near future. Clarification will be given in regard to Blasters and games on Friday night Feb 5, as they are currently scheduled to start after the lockdown is currently scheduled to finish. Fixtures for Saturday Feb 6 and Sunday Feb 7 will be confirmed/cancelled/rescheduled as the situation develops. Please make sure you are following all government advice and regulations to ensure you are keeping yourselves and your family safe and enable us to resume the way of life we had come to enjoy. 08.01.2022 Weekend Fixtures After taking into account consultations from those within our Association, as well as consulting with other Association representatives and the CJCC, sadly, the decision has been made to cancel all community junior cricket for this weekend. Given the lack of any concrete information from the West Australian Premier today as to what post-lockdown restrictions for the weekend may look like, we simply cannot assume that junior games can go ahead without consider...able impact. We feel that it would not be appropriate for parents, volunteers and officials if this decision was left any later. Leaving the decision until tomorrow, when hopefully more information is forthcoming, would not give Clubs and volunteers the time required to plan for post-lockdown, or to respond to, and be compliant with, any ongoing imposed restrictions. At this stage is is our intention to investigate moving the non-competitive grades fixtures from this weekend to post season. Unfortunately this does not seem feasible for the competitive grades.
