23.01.2022 This a slightly braggadocious about all our lovely and generous cabin owners. Anytime we do fundraising or charity donations for anyone, be it The CFA, the Children’s Hospital, the bushfires or in this case helping the families supported by The Welcome Place on Ryrie Street, Geelong, they always give with generous spirits. We know 2020 has been a hard year for everyone, some more than others, and we’re very grateful to all those who managed donate toys, groceries, toiletries and cash/vouchers($265 total). The Welcome Place hosted a Christmas lunch on Sunday in a park for the families they support and gave out the gifts to the children. We are very proud of our cabin owners who brought smiles to these children’s faces. Tis the season indeed

It has been great to see people try to maintain a sense of community even when they cant physically be with their communities. 19.01.2022 The annual Easter fishing competition had to be postponed this year due to the shambolic year that has been 2020. So this year the fishing competition will take place on Sunday 27th December 2020. Below are some rules that will need to be observed The fish must be caught in Swan Bay on the day (including the jetty) - the fish must of legal size - please do not catch pufferfish and if you do, please throw it back into the ocean and not on the jetty or the ground (they are poi...sonous to pets & humans) While you can fish all day, the official weigh and prize presentation will be at 4pm near the barbecue are. We will also be having music playing, a community sausage sizzle (gold coin donation) and raffles.

And eve...ryone who is staying home this long weekend. I know this is a very different Easter break. No catching up with friends and family. No holiday away. The best way to contact us at the moment is via email on [email protected] Below is a statement from Telstra re the issues were experiencing National call network congestion - As more people work from home and schools close, we are seeing demand on our network increase daily and this will continue. Overall mobile call volumes on certain routes and geographies are up by more than 50%. Specif...ic numbers to Government call centres are experiencing three times the call volumes compared to last week, and over twenty times the normal call volume. As a result were seeing congestion impacting a small proportion, 3-4%, of calls on our mobile network, with most of the congestion being driven by the high number of calls to Government 13 and 1800 numbers.
