23.01.2022 Lions Big Band@ South Perth - Friday 25th September Ready to dance the night away? The South Perth Lions Big Band is really looking forward to playing for you ...on Friday 25th September - theres nothing quite like a live big band and a floor full of happy dancers! Our wonderful singers this month are Owen Measday and Cathy Mueller, under the baton of awesome musicaldirector Phil Hatton. Last months South Perth dance was sold out and for 25th September we just have a few seats left at present. So if youd like to come,contact me quickly to reserve seats. We have limited capacity due to COVID rules, and no unbooked door sales will be available on the night. Youll find us at the South Perth Community Centre, corner of Sandgate St and South Terrace, South Perth. The show runs from 8pm to 10:50pm.BYO food, drink & glasses.The cost is $20 each, with all profits going to the community services of the South Perth Lions Club. Adhering to current COVID-19 guidelines the SDLC decided to show our respect to past and present military personnel by placing a wreath on ANZAC Day morning at the Peace Memorial, Midland Railway precinct. 15.01.2022 After a long stand down due to Covid-9, we have recommenced our screening program from today. Lions John Osborne, Rob Garratt and Garry Irvine, with new screen...er Janice Cuming have started off this morning on the long trip to Esperance. They will be joined in Esperance by Rob Fitzpatrick and travel up to Salmon Gums to screen tomorrow. A full weekend of screening will follow at Esperance, organized by the Lions Club of Esperance members. Safe trip guys, lets hope we can continue our program of 15 locations through to end of November through the South West and part of the Northern Wheatbelt without interruptions this time.

01.01.2022 Celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the SDLC and Change Over of Club Officers for the 2020-21 Lionistic Year. It was a beautiful Midwinters Day in the Swan Valley to celebrate 2 important SDLC events. Lions and guests from our Zone 6 Clubs attended and the changeover ceremony was officiated by our incoming 201W1DG Michael Wainwright. Breakfast was followed by cake and a toast with bubbles (naturally!). Thank you all for joining us in celebrating this special anniversary and also welcoming in our new club officers for 2020-21!
