In five bite-sized video tutorials you’ll learn how to craft items like stickers, unique and sustainable DIY gift-wraps and fragrant bath salts. You'll also be shown the secret to leveling up your Christmas cards with a simple pop-up technique, and the steps to making a pom pom launcher. Suitable for 312 year olds, their parents and carers.

08.01.2022 Looking for an idea for a Christmas gift? Local historian Ian Itter has recently published his new book 'Channels, pipes & flumes : bringing water to the Mallee.' This book is a brief history of the two most vital water delivery systems in the North West Mallee region of Victoria. Using details gathered from many sources, Ian has been able to piece together the story of the Nyah to Manangatang Stock & Domestic System and the Cannie Ridge Stock and Domestic Channel systems. Ian's book is available for purchase from the Swan Hill Library for $35 each (cash only).

08.01.2022 Don't forget our Move and Groove program has returned to the library! Held every Wednesday at 10:30am, Move and Groove is a highly interactive session tailored for a toddlers social, emotional and physical development. Aimed at parents and caregivers with children aged 18 months - 5 years, this high energy session is lots of fun! We enjoy songs, rhymes, stories and parachute games. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing rules apply and attendance is limited, so bookings are recommended. If you would like to book in for this session please contact the library on 50362480.

07.01.2022 If you need an idea for a Christmas gift, how about a handmade library bag? We have an assortment of bags for sale in a variety of bright colours and patterns to suit both kids and adults. Bags are only $4 each, with all proceeds going to the Australian Cancer Council. A huge thank you to our two wonderful library patrons who gave up their time and spare material to make these lovely bags for our customers. And they're so handy you can use them for more library books!
