17.01.2022 On Friday we had the opportunity to talk with Maxine Rennard. Maxine is an amazing lady and Author of the book The Snail Ate the Mail. This book is just fantastic and not only will the children love the book but so will you. The inspiration for the book came about when Maxine's son, Lachlan was diagnosed with cancer at age 4. During his treatment he loved to hear all about his Mum's adventures and Maxine was able to paint word pictures of places he would never see. The ...final idea for the book solidified when one day they received a letter out of the letterbox their great grandfather had built to find that a snail had indeed eaten the mail. We are so excited to welcome Maxine to our family fun day.
