21.01.2022 One of the highlights of Valedictory Day each year is the traditional Guard of Honour. Our Year 12s join hands with Pre-Primary students (clutching balloons) as they undertake their final farewell walk. The balloons are then collected at the end and tied on the Year 12 Arch for celebratory photos. #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs #classof2020 #valedictory

21.01.2022 We were delighted to welcome the Chair of the Anglican Schools Commission, Mrs Lynne Thomson, to our school today. Mrs Thomson toured our campus with our Principal, Ms Melissa Powell, and was particularly impressed with all the recent improvements to our buildings and grounds, as well as our plans for the future. Our students and staff enthusiastically greeted Mrs Thomson and shared with her our very friendly SVACS wave! #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs

18.01.2022 During NAIDOC Week, students filled shoeboxes with new school supplies to give to students from a remote Aboriginal Community School in the Kimberley. The shoeboxes contained pencil cases, lead pencils, colour pencils, erasers, sharpeners, scissors, glue, textas, red and blue pens, and highlighters. A small Christmas gift and a personalised letter were also added. Shoeboxes were also sent to the school’s teachers and were filled with lots of relevant and useful stationery for 2021. #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs #naidocweek

09.01.2022 Valedictory Day concluded with the Class of 2020 Service of the Light held in the Chapel, followed by a beautiful Dinner. We were fortunate to have Bishop Jeremy James join us, as well as members of School Council, staff, students, family and friends. Our Multi-Purpose Hall was magically transformed and the evening was undoubtedly a night to remember. Our thanks to the P & FA for their assistance behind the scenes with the set-up for the dinner, as well as the generous provision of the photo-booth balloons. #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs #classof2020 #valedictory

04.01.2022 Our Year 12 students began Valedictory Day with a Tree-Planting Ceremony. Every year, since 2016, our graduating students have planted a tree in our Avenue of Trees. The students write the words for the plaque, which this year read: We are grateful for the support we have received throughout this unique year. We have learnt to appreciate the simple joys of life, to stay positive through adversity and remain hopeful for the future. #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs #classof2020 #valedictory

04.01.2022 Year 12 Dress Up Day was a wonderful celebration of the second last day of school before final exams. Students spent the day in reflection, considering gratitude moments and the importance of choosing to have a positive outlook on life. Games and movies, a morning tea with staff, and a pizza lunch rounded out a memorable day. #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs #classof2020

02.01.2022 Our Year 6 students and staff are currently enjoying their four day camp at Nanga Bush Camp in Dwellingup. The site is situated on the banks of the beautiful Murray River and nestled amongst the jarrah trees on 80 acres of uncleared forest. #learnerstodayleaderstomorrow #swanvalleyanglicancommunityschool #swanvalleyacs #svacs
