09.01.2022 Arriving somewhere but not here. . Which one do u like better? 1. B&W or 2. Colour? . .... Ive had this mirror for more than six years despite the fact that my wardrobe has huge mirrors & so does my bathroom. Not that i really need one & yet this particular one has always been in my room. Maybe it reminds me of my childhood memories, back home where we used to have a huge mirror attached to the wall in the staircase & makes me feel like Im home again. Or maybe Im just used to having the same things around me or maybe Im just too lazy to get rid of it. Whatever the reason is, it served its purpose until yesterday. . . I was finalising the images for my client & #porcupinetree was playing in the background then the chorus came along #arrivingsomewherebutnothere , hence the #caption . . Took me a while to bring my concept to life. Day 1, i just sat in front of the mirror & couldnt come up with the composition & one point i just ended up sitting exactly as i am in the image. The next day i finally managed to put it together after hours of setup & the lighting i was looking for. I was pretty happy. . . Thats myself in front of the mirror & thats my past whats behind me with a light to guide me, making me stronger. Those hands symbolises the strength, getting me ready to face myself & the world. . .
