25.01.2022 Hello everyone. Due to a high demand of inquiries and for well needed haircuts at this time, I have thought long and hard and have decided to re-open Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment only until further notice. These appointments will be scheduled every 20 minutes so I can continue my disinfection and sanitisation regime between each haircut. There shall only be one haircut in at a time. I will have hand sanitiser available on arrival and I ask that if anyone has trav...eled outside of Devonport to Burnie, Launceston and Hobart and or the mainland for work purposes in the last three weeks that you advise me please before the service. I AM AN ESSENTIAL BUSINESS where I decided to close three weeks ago. My decision to re-open for a couple of days will hopefully provide a service that is now in more demand than ever. 23.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021 TO ALL. I hope everyone had a wonderful break. By popular demand and due to the Devonport Cup on Wednesday the 6th of January, I will be returning early from my vacation and Sweeney’s Barber will be ready to re-open tomorrow the 4th of January at 10am until 3pm. ... These hours will remain until Friday the 8th of January 2021 only. The following week the 11th of January, my regular hours will resume from 9.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday and alternating Saturday 9.30am to 1pm. Just a reminder that I am a walk-in Barbers only. I look forward to seeing all my clients current and new.

14.01.2022 Due to Covid-19, Sweeneys Barber will remain closed until further notice. Please continue to visit Sweeneys Barber fb page for all updates. Scott Morrison is allowing Salons and Barbers to conduct business as usual. Yet he is ordering the closure of other businesses where the 1.5m distancing is difficult giving the service. I am also in the same predicament where I am unable to keep this social distancing giving the service being provided. Scomo is delaying the inevitable... and I feel that it is in the best interest and my concerned conscience to close my doors. My business has already suffered a major loss and its costing me more to stay open. All my clients are important, not just my elderly clientele. We are all in this together. Take care everyone. This week only my hours are as follows: Tuesday 10am - 3pm... 09.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN!! MONDAY 4TH OF MAY AT 10AM It is with great pleasure that I advise to all my walk-in clients old and new that the ban has been lifted and Sweeneys Barber will be opened for business as of Monday the 4th of May at 10am. Of course restrictions are still in place for appropriate social distancing and so therefore allowing only two people in the Barber at one time. ... As we try and return to some normalcy during this pandemic, I would like to ask that those who are in dire need of a haircut, (which will be many) that you come in throughout the day, rather than all at once at my opening time of 10am. While we are still observing social distancing, my current trading hours are 10am - 3pm (Mon - Fri) and 10am - 1pm (alternative Saturdays) Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing all those familiar and new faces again. 07.01.2022 Sweeneys Barber would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year 2020. I am now back behind the Barber chair as of the 4th January and after a lovely ten day break. I have returned to a very busy couple of days so far and look forward to this new year being just as busy. ... With the usual every Saturday morning trading, I will be trying to alternate my Saturdays this year so I can have a two day weekend every other week. This Saturday closure will commence this weekend the 11th of Jan. I will also have a closed or open this Saturday sign posted on the window. 04.01.2022 SEASON GREETINGS TO YOU ALL What a year it has been for Tasmania and how extremely fortunate we have been as a State to keep moving forward to the very end of 2020. I have been overwhelmed with the continued support to my small business that each one of you has contributed and provided me. THANK YOU SO MUCH ... I am now looking forward to a well earned break and am heading to Melbourne to see my beautiful daughters after a year. The good news is...I’m not quite finished and I will be in the Barbers tomorrow only the 21st of December from 9.30am. I hope that this will be my last day of cutting hair until the New Year. However, if I am my usual very busy I have decided to extend my hours until 5.30pm taking my last haircut at 5.15pm. This year I returned on the 4th of January after a short 8 days off and it was busier than pre-Christmas. So, I am going to take a longer break, looking forward to getting off of my feet and rest my hands and I will return to Sweeney’s on the 11th of January. I am confident that 2021 is going to be an awesome year for everyone, and I know I will be looking forward to returning with renewed hope and anticipation for only good vibes to come. To all my male clients, due to Covid-19, I havent been able to attend to your beard and moustache needs however if you bring in your own beard trimmers for your well over due tidy up, Ill be happy to assist you.
