25.01.2022 ...and here is another something different: I found this at the Cooinda Op Shop here in Tammin, and this is a cracker. An awesome 70's Mid Century design piece, it measures 47" x 60" it would need a bit of TLC, but overall not in terrible condition.... $50!!! FIFTY BUCKS, SERIOUSLY?

25.01.2022 Pizza pizza pizza, we all love a good pizza, but we don't like waiting too long for anything, not even pizza. Since we started with pizza, it has been a runaway success, quite literally. And the runaway part is problematic, as a lot of our patrons would have endured unacceptable long waiting times for pizza in particular. We have the new oven, we have the space for it, we just don't have the funds to put it in, so it must wait a bit longer. In the meantime we have tried out ...a "Personal" pizza, this is just over 9" in diameter, it is loaded a bit higher than the usual pizza, so it does become quite a substantial meal, certainly enough for one person, and two as a snack. The advantage with the 9", we can cook quite a few of them simultaneously, and they are easily made in a conveyor belt type fashion, significantly reducing the waiting time to what should be 10-15 minutes. So, from tonight a personal pizza of your choice and a soft drink can be had for $7, and if your choice is a brewed alcoholic beverage, you can grab the set for $10, add another $3 for mixed beverages. And as usual, we really want your feedback. Please note, delivery is not available for the 9".

21.01.2022 Another beautiful rainy day in Tammin, you can tell a country kid from a city kid, they play in the rain. ON THE MENU TONIGHT: A variation to the Dirty Dirty burger is the plain Dirty,a brioche style bun with a simple but tasty patty, beetroot, bacon and pickle, dressed with mustard and barbecue sauce. With chips, this rings the register at $12... Fish and chips, 2 pieces of fish with chips and aioli sauce. $12 BBQ Smokey T-Bone steak with mash, chips or proper Wedges and Creamy Garlic and Mushroom sauce with salad. $25 Have your Parminder with tomato or Creamy Garlic sauce $18

We are partying on allllllllll night tonight, so come on down, whats stopping you.... We have a couple of rules for tonight and every night, BE GOOD TO EACH OTHER, yes GOOD, REAL GOOD. Really look after your mate, so they are safe and will enjoy the full potential of life. It is the only one we get, so practice being good at living it, and help others to do the same. 21.01.2022 A hot weekend was had, thank you to the funeral party for stopping by, and making Saturday a great day for meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends. Thank you so much for stopping by, we love you all, and you absence will be felt.

20.01.2022 A BIN PARTY was had, apart from being the biggest night we've seen, according to legend, the biggest night for this venue for several years. And when you run out of words, always quote the Eagles: We haven't had that spirit here, since nineteen sixty nine. Sure it meant something different then, but it is very fitting. No trouble, no grumpy, just a whole lot of fun and happy faces. The Sweet Tammin Hotel family is immensely grateful, first of all for you choosing us to host y...our event, and also for being such a supportive community, even with the whole 1984 East German Disco look restaurant (less bland coming up). We love hosting you, as you are the easiest crowd we have ever seen, anywhere. And thank you for your patience, we are not perfect, and we will likely never be perfect, but we will aim to get there. Thank you so much to Maddie and Sid (or is it Syd?), who brought this event to us in the first place, and of course the entire CBH crew for just being super heroes. Thank you all, and happy and safe silly season.

19.01.2022 The woes ghost of beer systems past is still haunting us. Last week it was ice and a few leaks, this week it is beer gas leaks. We are working on these problems with Barons Beverage Services, which support and service is second to none. We are confident the issues will be resolved prior to Thursday this week.

18.01.2022 Check out our food and new decor in the front bar before it's too late. Three months of a handful of customers each day has absolutely killed us. So YES we are in trouble, deep deep trouble, but there is still a glimmer of hope, so come and check us out before the doors close for good

18.01.2022 We hope you are having a cool weekend, Sweet Tammin Hotel will open today at 3PM. This is the time of "no people in town", and hence we are adjusting the opening hours.

15.01.2022 Thanks to all who turned out for the slim pickings over the long weekend, and just to top things off, we will have to keep her kitchen closed tonight. A circuit feeding the deep fryers and the pizza oven tripped this morning, and refuses to reset, which essentially shut the kitchen, for tonight at least. The problem was a faulty appliance, which has since been discarded, but the circuit breaker still hates us.

14.01.2022 Sweet Tammin Hotel will this week be open as follows: FRONT BAR and the LOUNGE BAR AND RESTAURANT: Monday through Friday from 4PM till at least 8PM unless there are patrons in the bar or restaurant.... Saturday and Sunday from 12 Noon to no later than 11:45PM Please note, these are indicative business hours, we will be here at least an hour earlier, so feel free to call us to confirm earlier hours. Light lunches, ie burgers, fish and chips and personal pizzas are available from 12 Noon. If you are chasing breakfast and toasties in the morning, just give us a call on 08 9637 1777, we will do what we can not to disappoint.

13.01.2022 We did a secret "Test Drive" of quite a nice steak last night. This is what just over half a kilo of steak from Goodfields in Cunderdin looks like. The "Lab Rats" called it "UN-FRIGGIN-BELIEVABLE", well, I am paraphrasing to keep this PG. This is largely un-garnished, but the desired result was attained. This should make it on to the menu in the next week or so, unfortunately, it will be a little on the pricey side, as this cut is very expensive. This specimen was allegedly consumed without the need of a knife...

13.01.2022 Sweet Tammin Hotel will see a couple of changes in the next couple of days, Alex and Ryan became Approved Managers today. They did the course and passed the test, doing the rest of the paperwork this morning. They would make a great lawyers, quoting the book, chapter and verse, just don't get any legal advice from this pair... Congratulations and thank you to Alex and Ryan for doing stepping up to the plate, one is in dire need of a couple of days off.

12.01.2022 Christmas is coming in hard and fast now, I can almost feel the cold snow flakes quietly and peacefully landing on my skin... Oh no! Sorry, reminiscing of Christmas pasts, while sitting in the cool air conditioned lounge bar, with the condensation dripping off the taps. Santa brought us more spare part for the taps, and they are running COLD. Rivers of ice cold Carton Dry, SWAN and Hahn Super Dry. Sweet Tammin Hotel front bar and the Lounge will be open today, Saturday Decem...ber 21, and Sunday December 22 from 12 Noon. Stay Safe and always look after your mate, it's bloody hot out there.

10.01.2022 Price changes: Please see this as fair warning of the oncoming price increase Friday December 13, 2019. We have studied the cost of operating this grand old place over the last few months, particularly after the liquor license was granted which has shown that our prices have to increase, not by much, just enough to keep up with the upkeep of the place (yeah a mouthful). ... Bottled and beer in cans, served in the bars and the restaurant, will increase by ONE Dollar, to $6 each Tap beer will likewise increase by ONE Dollar, ie Midi $5 and Pint $9. Packaged Mixed alcohol, enjoyed on the premises, will stay at the current price for now, they will inevitably increase as well, but not at this time. Takeaway alcohol will remain unchanged. Takeaway food will remain at the current prices, whereas meals enjoyed in the bars or the restaurant will increase by a few Dollars, a new menu reflecting the prices will be published here in the few days.

07.01.2022 The cool change continues in the Sweet Tammin Hotel Lounge. It is currently 24C in the Lounge and Dining room, the taps are working and sits around the -1.5C. A cool change all round

07.01.2022 ...and so it goes all good intentions and planning: Du to the requirement of a level of skeleton crew for some minor, but crucial adjustments around the place. And since a few us will be here anyway, we WILL be open tonight, Christmas Eve between 4PM and 9ishPM. Feel free to join us for a light meal and beverages, we will enjoy your company.

07.01.2022 So another week closer to Christmas. We are open all week, Monday through Friday the doors will be ajar from 3PM and properly opened from 4PM. We will be closing when everybody leaves, not exceeding our licensed hours. The lounge is a nice 26C today, one air-conditioner literally blew up this morning, but hasn't impacted too much on the end result. The focus in the kitchen this week, will be steak, we have some quite thick Porterhouse steaks, they are delicious as always fro...m Goodfield's just like the T-Bones and Huuuuuge Rumps. Our packaged beverages are close to the freezing point, but the tap beer saga sadly continues, we are hoping more repairs tomorrow will fix the issues. We can at least hope for it. 06.01.2022 Sweet Tammin Hotel will be hosting a trivia night on the 28th March to raise funds and awareness about beyond blue. This is an 18+ event and will include a three course meal and the following beverage selections, beer, wine and soft drink, there will be other alcoholic beverages available to purchase on the night. 06.01.2022 The cafe will be closed off tonight, for the safety and comfort of all here. Take away meal orders can be done at the front bar, which will open at 3.30PM. The doors to the cafe will be closed and locked. The cafe will be open again tomorrow from 11AM

02.01.2022 And we are back! We all know Daniel Jackson is a legend, and he has done it again, fixed the faulty circuit that put the pizza oven and fryers out of action. Absolutely legendary. Kitchen is open again tonight and we have beautiful cold beer to go with the food, or on it's own; a limited but nice selection of Export, Dry and Furphy as well, we also had a top-up of apple and pear ciders, but we are very low on bourbon in any configuration. We welcome all, and we serve all regardless of whom you are, as long as you are human.

02.01.2022 Here is something a little different: 3 toilet pans for FREEEEEE. They didn't come out of the hotel, and they are clean, with no hidden surprises. S trap for modern 4.5L cisterns, although they do not come with the cisterns.... First in best dressed, come and get them, otherwise they will end up at the tip tomorrow.

02.01.2022 About the Boxing Day Test... well it would appear that someone has borrowed the satellite receiver, which makes it very difficult for us to screen anything live TV. We all hope that the person who, well clearly borrowed the equipment, while in transit, will return it in due time.

02.01.2022 Lets do take two here: Another AWESOME week ahead, Christmas, friends and family and Olympic level driving... (Tick (: full points, nothing to misunderstand here) Today we open the doors at 4PM, the lounge will be cool, and the drinks near frozen. Being the travelling season, we don't expect more than a handful of people, but nonetheless, we will enjoy your company. (Tick (: full points, nothing to misunderstand here)... Merry Christmas everybody, Sweet Tammin Hotel will be open every day, well almost, as the logistics for opening on December 24 are appears insurmountable, hence NOT open. Christmas Day, December 25, we will be open around from 6PM, and will have everybody leave before 10PM. It will not be a normal day, there will be no sole alcohol service, IE, the FRONT BAR will be shut, and the only alcohol sold will be with meals. We want to celebrate and share a bite with whomever are left in Tammin town and surrounds, we love you all and want to share this day, week and even year with you, and not because we sell alcohol. Famous words of every publican never, but nonetheless how we feel about this. So, NO you cannot have a Six Pack or a carton, this will not happen, it is first of all against the law, and not the purpose of us opening. Come on down if you are in town on the evening of December 25th, there will be food and nibblies, and the usual, and just hang out if you like. DECEMBER 26TH: WE ARE TRYING TO GET A HUGE BIG SCREEN SET UP IN THE COOL LOUNGE FOR THE TEST.
