18.01.2022 Well everyone I thought it was about time I posted. You may have noticed, I took a year off.... After 7 years and a good portion of my nights and weekends I decided to take some time off and participate in some long overdue self care. As most parents of children with medical conditions or special needs I always put my self and my own needs last. This was terrible strategic planning, because if I broke, who was going to give my kids the care and attention they needed? I cannot... tell you enough times, you are worth it, for you, your partner and your kids. Care for yourself as much as you do for those around you! After addressing my health issues and risks, I am feeling 10000% better and ready for the future. The Sweet Charitea crew and I had just started cooking up something very special for the 2020 event when we have all been inadvertently stood down due to COVID-19. Whilst it has slapped us all in the face a bit, the silver lining here is that we all get to appreciate all that we have, how little we actually need and the importance of human connection. And for us - more time to plan and find new ways to do what we do best! I hope you all stay safe. Keep your loved ones close and spare a thought for others during this unique time in our lives!
