What a great 4 days of enhanced professional education and development on tongue function and the effects on breastfeeding, sleeping and sleep apnea, snoring, breathing, affects on airways, oral development and so much more. It was wonderful to be part of a group of like minded professionals from so many different disciplines such as speech pathology, chiropractic, osteopathy, dentistry and lactation consultants who are all delivering a multi-discipline approach to heath and wellbeing for our families. Thank you to all of those who shared their knowledge and passion and to the wonderful mum who shared her story.

18.01.2022 I had a lovely time in Northern NSW last week catching up with other like minded Allied Health Professionals who like me foster a collaborative approach when it comes to servicing the needs of new parents and their children. I also had the opportunity of helping a mum with some massage techniques for pain relief for her little girl. We did some more massage last night before bed and she slept from 11pm till 7:40am which has never happened before. It's an absolute joy to be able to help empower parents with new knowledge through teachings, discussions and sharing of experiences and to watch the transition as confidence grows and parents and babies learn to relax and connect with one another. 07.01.2022 Looking forward to meeting some lovely mums and their little ones tomorrow night.

07.01.2022 Just finished week 1 of our current 2 week course. Met some lovely mums and their little bubs. Today our mums learnt about the importance of asking permission to massage, what oils to use, when to massage and how long to massage for, strokes for the legs, buttocks, abdomen and chest ( including the chest permission sequence). We weren't sure if some of the babies would take to the massage as they were a little agitated on arrival, but by the end of the session they were blissfully sound asleep. Wishing all the mums some tender loving bonding moments during this next week....

02.01.2022 Mothers with premmie babies sometimes struggle to bond with their babies due to being separated from each following birth. It is never too late to reconnect and establish the beauty and bliss that comes with bonding with your child. Teaching parents like Angela and her little angel Maddison the right techniques, strokes and health benefits of massage and seeing the results unfold right before our eyes is the most rewarding gift I can ever ask for.
