24.01.2022 This year has undoubtedly proved challenging in many aspects but there is a real appreciation for some simple pleasures that we may have taken for granted in the past. For the time since the start of this year we have started to visit our little local Park again and my tribe has just soaked up every minute with so much laughter and joy. And while these little excursions have always been filled with joy there is definitely a new appreciation and presence when we are there all together. I have even found myself hanging upside down on monkey bars participating in some serious monkey business. Here is to more days of being able to safely and sensibly visit the Park, picking flowers, recording birds and counting buses and trucks on our way.

18.01.2022 How much fun are marble runs?! We have built them out of so many different recycled materials over the years but I have to say our new marble run has been a smash hit. Such a fun way to engineer, construct, deconstruct, hypothesise, problem solve, experiment, explore trajectory, balance, take turns and work together as a team.

18.01.2022 We have been celebrating Book Week this week to encourage the children to fall in love with Books! We have worked our way through our most favourite books this week together and we Hve explored our fav stories with clay, play dough, paintings, bookmarks and some sequencing games. I love how much my little group love their storytime and every meal time here comes with requests for Dean to read another story. ... Each fortnight we receive a new bag of books from our local library just for us and we always read this bag several times over before the new bag arrives. Every book is a new adventure.

17.01.2022 Art comes in all forms. We had a fun morning colouring in these creations together. Everyone was inspired after this to come up with their own side walk creations and incorporate themselves and their friends into their art. ... Feeding creative minds

15.01.2022 We made a number of healthy and delicious goodies this week for National Nutrition week. We cook almost everyday here but this week we tried to find ways to add more veggies into our cooking experiences. We discovered that even though many of the children expressed that they don't like Zuchini inside a brownie you can't taste them, that when you grate some veggies they contain lots of water, that Dean's Hommus is no where near as good as a little ones Mums Hommus recipe, we ...learnt that Blackberries dye our fingers purple, we learnt that maple syrup comes from maple trees, we learnt that 2 half cups equal 1 cup, we learnt that teamwork is required to help hold the bowl sometimes while we mix and that a recipe is just a list of ingredients with instructions. I love how much cooking offers little minds. No wonder they ask to cook everyday. We made our own Hommus with veggie sticks on Tuesday Zucchini Brownies on Wednesday and Spinach, Banana and Blueberry Muffins on Thursday. 09.01.2022 I have absolutely fallen in love with Stockmar modelling Bees wax. It smells amazing, is wonderful for working our hand strength and fine motor control and is a lovely natural resource. So many creative possibilities. My little Wildlings have loved this resource and the discussion, planning and creativity that has come out of these creations has been wonderful. Thank you to my friend Holly for introducing me to this resource. This is going to be a staple on our art shelves and has been a lovely hands on extension for our Bees project.
