18.01.2022 HOLIDAYS QLD Schools finished today so my 2 Sassy's are officially on holidays. For the next 2 weeks I will be taking a small break to spend some time with them and we are also moving so will be packing up the house we have lived in for 10 years as the owner wants to move back in.... So what does this mean for my Sassy family. Nothing really other than I may not be around as much. I have a couple of orders to finish off and get away but other than that I will be pottering, creating, playing and packing. I have new things that have been in my head for too long so I'm allowing myself this time to bring them to life. I'll pop in and out so make sure you have notifications on because you will want to see what I'm up too PS. 17.01.2022 Sassy Friends! I need your HELP So in the handmade world we always need to be thinking ahead. What's happening next while creating for the now. So on that note please don't yell at me but I need to know if EASTER is a thing for you. As in do you dress your mini Sassy people in special outfits, decorate, give gifts etc etc?... I ask because my favourite fabric suppliers have their Easter pre-orders open and I'm wondering if I need to grab some things or focus on something else. If you could pop a YES or NO in the comments that would be greatly appreciated. If I could push the friendship just that little bit more, if you're a YES could you also comment with what kind of things you might be looking at from me please? I know! I know! Can we get through Christmas first lol

15.01.2022 Hi all you Sweet Sassy legends! Sorry I have been MIA the last few weeks. I've been sewing like a mad woman for a new venture I have (all will be revealed in the coming days), getting orders cut and ready for a mammoth sewing sesh this week, looking for a house of which we were found one this week thank goodness and just doing the #mumlife #shiftworkinghusbandlife blah blah blah. But I'm back and I'm excited! And I needed to ask you a VERY important question....... ARE YOU A NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER CHRISTMAS TREE PUTERUPPERER and why? I am a December 1st (or after). As kids that's what my Nan and my Mum did so it's what I know. My Nanna was a very traditional woman my she rest in peace and I am fearful she would roll in her grave if I put it up any earlier. But I've also realised when I was thinking about this post today, it would make it feel like a REALLY long time for the youngest Miss Sassy to wait for Christmas Day and I can not be bothered to deal with the "How much longer" question that I know I would be asked a million times each day Can't wait to hear if you have your tree up already or are waiting below

05.01.2022 I don't know that I am actually going to be able to sleep tonight!!!!!! 24 hours and "Ella" is live! I thought I would just share WHY a birthday dress after being asked a few times since sharing photos.... As you may know I opened Sweetly Sassy in August 2019. I wanted to create something as a special occasion dress to mark the occasion. September also happens to be my birthday month so it's a DOUBLE celebration so this dress had to be a one off and something different to what I do on the regular. Now I'm not sure if you know this but I am not a girly girl and frills, lace and pretty isn't something that comes naturally to me but I am lucky I have a very dear friend who loves all that and when she put the dress in front of me I just knew it was the one! And that is how the "Ella" or the Birthday Dress as its affectionally known came about. At this time of the year going forward I will release this dress in a fabric of my choosing and 10 lucky recipients will start the "party season" in style! So get excited! Share it around.
