24.01.2022 Early Childhood Educators Day!!!!!!!! I would like to say a massive thank you to Sweetpeas team who go above and beyond for our children. The effort that goes into planning experiences that are exciting and educational is inspirational. Your willingness to take on challenges and grow never goes unnoticed. But its the nurture, care and attention to detail that puts you above the rest.... Bushfires, floods, a pandemic and then Assessments and rating. This year has been so challenging yet a smile greets every child everyday. Im lost for words. We would love to hear from families. 23.01.2022 SCIENCE WEEK! Sweetpeas has been having so much fun with science week! Kookaburras extracted strawberries and placed each component in test tubes!Crocodiles and Kookaburras combined to see what happens what you put a mentos in a coke bottle! Koalas created their own version of a lava lamp but in a bottle which was so fun to see the surprised faces once the lava moved around! Joeys used food colouring in milk with dishwashing liquid to watch the colours seperate instead ...of mix together! We also had a very awesome SEA WORLD sensory table! Everyone loved these experiences and learnt many skills but overall it has been so much fun! EYLF: 4.2 - children develop a range of skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.

23.01.2022 Hi families, We need your help with some feedback on our winter menu! We would like to know your thoughts! Any feedback is great feedback as this helps us improve for the future for you and your child at Sweetpeas. We recently updated our menu to suit these colder months! If you didnt know our menu is located in our outdoor foyer in the entry way. It displays our 4 week menu along with the nutritional guide to foods for early childhood education & care. ... If you have any suggestions on meals you would like to see implemented at our centre please comment below but please remember we are a nut free centre! We would love to see family recipes that you are willing to share! Thank you!

At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lest We Forget We at Sweetpeas took a minute silence at 11AM to remember all those who fought and died for our nation. The children and staff watched the live coverage of The last post and listened to the Ode. The children were fantastic in respecting the minute silence and all stood still while fascinated on the trumpet.

21.01.2022 Our Kookaburra graduates Were all amazing tonight!!!!! Huge thanks to all the families for bringing the children in. We all had so much fun. 21.01.2022 DENTAL WEEK Weve had lots of fun participating in dental week! The children have loved role playing and transferring their knowledge on dentists to dramatic play in our set up! This teaches children all about oral hygiene and what we can do to have healthy gums and teeth! They have been talking about brushing their teeth twice a day and even brushing their tongue for extra cleanliness!... EYLF: 3.2. Children have a strong sense of well-being.

If you would like your child to participate please make sure they have a full set of spare clothes and if possible to bring some boots! Its going to be lots of fun!

09.01.2022 ITS BRING YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY! Miss Katelyn & Miss Zali have brought in their new puppies to share them with the children! Poppy & Ziggy the Cavoodles! We had an awesome discussion with each group and asked them questions such as: What do you like about the puppies?, What does their fur feel like? and How do the puppies make you feel? We also discussed how they are living things and are very small and they will grow big just like us! All the children had a wonder...ful time and loved spending time with Poppy & Ziggy! Learning Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world. Learning Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.

09.01.2022 WELCOME BACK FAMILIES We are so happy as from Monday 13th July we have been welcoming our families back into our centre but please remember this is only for the afternoon pick up. Morning drop off still remain at the door. Sweetpeas children have been working hard to design and create a sign for you guys to welcome you back inside!... 08.01.2022 PYJAMA WEEK IS COMING! 20th - 24th July 2020 Come cosy in your pjs all week even wear your slippers! Remember to bring in a closed pair of shoes for outdoor play as well!... This year we will be donating to Barnardos Cranebrook so we ask if you could please bring a gold coin donation to help Barnardos for young people and families to have a safe and secure home within our community!
