24.01.2022 Hey Everyone! Good news The Sweet Sour Salt dining room will be open from Friday 5th June. We will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings, for bookings only, through our website. Our chefs have been working passionately on a set menu for the evenings.... 22.01.2022 While we miss having you all in for dinner, at this stage our dining room will remain closed as relaxing of regulations comes into effect. It is an ongoing discussion we are having as to when we feel that we able to open in a way that is both a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. 17.01.2022 Wine of the week: Lil bit of red wine for a chilly night. 2017 Cooks Lot Cabernet Merlot. Local cool climate wonder, all those dark berry & aromatic spice. Tried it, loved it, drank it. I recommend doing the same.

16.01.2022 Congrats to Will Gilbert at Gilbert Family Wines, for taking out the People Choice at the Young Gun of Wine awards. A Special Wine of the week is his sexy 2018 Gewürztraminer. 10 days on skins, blushed it a little Amber. All that classic texture and Turkish Delight, and a smidge of a tannic finish.

10.01.2022 Wine of the Week (Little early this time) Rosebud by Canobolas Smith Multi vintage (2016/2017) blend Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay.... Weird and wonderful little wine, can't technically call it a rose, it sits somewhere between there and a super light dry red All the prettiness of pinot, franc's savoury grip, and touch of textured roundness of chardonnay. 08.01.2022 Wine of the week from Antonio’s. 2018 Pinot Gris. Limited run of 160 cases, this is a delicious, more-ish little number. Made to drink, made to enjoy, made for spicy food.

08.01.2022 2018 Cargo Road Gewürztraminer. This wine tastes alive and delicious! It’s a dry style, with playful Turkish delight kinda spice, fresh cut red apple and racy acidity. With the chilli and spice in our food, it’s the perfect marriage.

07.01.2022 Wine of the Week: From the peeps out at Heifer Station, their 2019 Riesling. I nearly fell off my chair when I first tried this last year. They made such a limited quantity of this drier side of off dry delight, that being able to get our hands on a couple of cases was a treat. You've got lemon and lime and a gorgeous flash of orange blossom and white flower, in a nice lean package. ... 10/10 does recommend.
