24.01.2022 http:// H E L L O // It's most definitely time that I show my photo-avoiding mug on here + re-introduce myself to those of you who are new ... W E L C O M E ! I'm Libby - owner + creator of SWIK Interiors. A little about me ...... I'm a mum to two gorgeous girls + wifey to one incredible + hard working man I used to be embarrassed about my neat tendencies + love of order + calm ... but I realised especially after having kids just how chaotic the daily stuff can be + how beneficial it is to maintain a clutter-free + organised home I'm scared of heights + moths I'm crazy about indoor plants. Unless we're discussing chocolate or a cold Pimms in summer, it's about the only time you'll hear me say the words "the more the better" Sweet over savoury any day I have two uni degrees ... both which in the past led me to interesting + challenging roles across media, government + private enterprise ... but my passion + priorities shifted considerably after becoming a mum Some things I love? Colour, fresh flowers, candles, clean sheet day, spring time, good old snail mail, the smell of rain + home delivered groceries (one of my favourite latest finds ) and all things interiors, of course! I grew up on Yorke Peninsula + am still a country kid at heart I value family, friendship, loyalty + integrity I'm also a big believer in authentic customer experiences + that the process of decorating, designing + styling your home should be FUN Thankyou ... if you read this far + for following along. Maybe in 2021 I'll even attempt a selfie? #dontholdmetoit #feelingbrave #allthefilters #thisisme #ipreferprettypicturesofinteriors #reintroductions #facebehindthename #abitaboutme #swikinteriors #barossainteriors #share #motivate #inspire

23.01.2022 H O M E When colours combine to perfection @mynd_interiors. Every element of this image is like magic in my eyes. You know when something just looks amazing - balanced, stylish, effortless? Well ... you can achieve this in your home too ... Who else is spending time at home during South Australia's lockdown rearranging, dreaming up changes, researching new furniture ... products ... decor? If you are, then consider the following. Simplify first. Take everything off your bookshelf, console, mantel etc and EDIT. Clean the surface. If items no longer spark joy or serve you, put them aside. Choose colours and finishes that you love - not what's trending or to replicate a magazine look. Define your aesthetic - do the items suit how you want to feel in your space? Choose quality over quantity. Remember form follows function - choose products that are practical to your needs (multi-functional is an added bonus) AND beautiful. Add freshness - always - in blooms, greenery, or plants. I could go on ... but above all, decorate with intention and for YOU. It's your home and you need to love the space you're in. Especially in times like this. Sending good vibes to you all today Libby Xxxxx www.swikinteriors.com.au #homeinspo #myndinteriors #spreadgoodvibes #share #motivate #inspire #homedecorating #homestyling #swiktips #decoratewithpurpose #decoratewithintention #qualityoverquantity #lovethespaceyourein #wegotthis #swikinteriors #barossainteriors

19.01.2022 Always decorate + style your home for how you want to live. Never sacrifice function or personality for trends or quick buys. Keep it simple. And just do you.... 18.01.2022 Spot the new kid on the block ... If you're spring cleaning your home and rearranging and refreshing your interior, be patient - you might not get the look right the first time. Play around with furniture placement and leave it a day or so and you'll know if it's the vibe you want or not. Make your space work for the way you want to live. Let the light in whenever possible. Paint. Repurpose. Sometimes small changes are all that's needed. Pack away the throws, wash and... rotate cushion covers. Declutter. Simplify. ... My biggest tip? If you haven't already, invest in indoor plants and greenery. They purify air, lift mood and create a sense of calm, and add freshness and life to your interior. Better still - they can help with your interior dilemmas by adding colour, contrast, interest or texture, creating height, privacy or filling a blank space, concealing or distracting from something ugly or too expensive to fix for now, and help absorb sound to boost your acoustic balance. ... 16.01.2022 B E D R O O M C O N F E T T I One of the quickest + easiest ways that you can refresh or transform your bedroom is with your bed I'm not talking about buying new furniture - it's all about how you dress the bed you already have. Check out my stories to see the BEFORE of this bedroom ... completely refreshed with the beautiful Printed Confetti Floral Sheet Set and Belgian Vintage Washed Linen Cushion - one of my all time favourite products for any room in the home - i...n Dusty Pink. Both available at @adairs. Go for a mix up of colour and pattern in dressing your bed ... yes it's all the rage at the moment but it gives you freedom to merge your existing items with new ones and adds whimsy and fun to your styling. Use colour blocks amongst your patterns if you're more conservative + try repeating at least one colour in your scheme and BOOM = it's got conviction! www.swikinteriors.com.au

09.01.2022 http:// Design inspiration today courtesy @insideoutmag // This image instantly captured my attention ... a minimalistic design that is equally as intriguing as it is stunning. Statement: Beautiful pairing of concrete walls (love the soft marble effect) with European oak ceiling. Character: The dining space includes a custom table made of locally sourced reclaimed timber and custom pendant lighting. Tick and tick. Timeless/Classics: Thonets. Nuff said.... Clever, considered design outside of the box - while ticking them all. Happy Friday friends Xxx www.swikinteriors.com.au

09.01.2022 I absolutely adore this palette. Rich, warm, feminine and earthy ... but grounded + balanced. The key here in my opinion? Shades of G R E E N. There's something about the instant impact of adding green to a scheme. And it's not green becoming the statement - in fact just the opposite. It often acts as the mediator, the balancer, the final piece of the puzzle. If you're experimenting with your decorating at home, consider shades of green in your small furniture items such as s...ide tables, lamp shades or floor rugs, or in potted plants, ornaments, or something as subtle as book spines. Try it - GREEN can make alllll the difference Pics via Pinterest. **And thankyou beautiful legends for supporting+loving my post on Monday night ... you're all super kind **And in school holiday spirit I'm going to be MIA for a few days while I spend quality time with my girls ... all current enquiries will be answered before I have a tech break. Home Styling packages announced next week
