25.01.2022 NEW COVID REGULATIONS Hello Swimcare Families I will list below the regulations that we all need to follow to be able get our lessons up and running. We understand some if these may not be Ideal but please remember this is not forever and we just want to ensure that we are looking after the health and wellbeing of all our Students, Family and Staff while also following the guildelines. We thank you all for your Cooperation and for working with us at this time....Continue reading
25.01.2022 Hi Everyone! I have had a few people ask about when we will be resuming lessons again. I am REALLY REALLY keen as well. It's lonely out here without our kids and staff. I keep looking at the guidelines as it seems like restrictions are getting lifted fairly quickly, but so far the guidelines are clear we cannot open. "Indoor public swimming pools are closed except for squad training in swimming pools with a length of at least 25 metres" So we cannot even do squads as t...he pools are 20 metres. also... "Sport and recreation services that must close are: indoor recreation facilities". Every few days I have a look. I got the guidelines emailed from Gurmesh Singh's office, so they are continually updated. When the day comes that we can open, if we can only do private lessons, I will then contact those who were keen on that, or if we are fortunate and we can open completely, I will be contacting every person who was enrolled prior to the close and offer them spots back. I feel it won't be long..... (fingers crossed) Lori :) See more
22.01.2022 I am madly trying to update the data base so I can start texting people soon. Thanks so far for your patience as we organise ourselves for term 3. I should start the first texts mid week. I'll start from Monday people. I'll post when I have finished. :) Lori
22.01.2022 I want to say how very lucky we are to have the best staff ever. Both centres. I am so grateful to our government for investing in job keeper so we can continue on from the covid lock down days together. I would like to give an extra shout to Lindy, Suzie, Georgie and Dell who came in this week and helped clean up the center. It was a big job. The biggest job though, is scheduling, and people don't realise what a mammoth task it is. Our Katie took that on, while juggling three boys and having 4 days notice. What a woman! Without our staff there would be no way we could have been ready to go by Monday. Poor Mark would have been here had he not been SO sick during the "break". We need to take it easy on him! We are so grateful :) Lori
21.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE ON COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING REGULATIONS In light of the updated social distancing regulations we will slightly change the way we run our lessons. We ask that only one parent come with the swimming child, and if possible other non swimming siblings not attend. Certainly let’s keep our grandparents away. ... As is our regular practice, if you are unwell, please do not come; we can organise a makeup. Lessons will be on time, however please dont come too early as we may have to ask that you wait outside due to number restrictions (Approx 60 in the swim deck area and 12 in the recption), please understand this is a restrictions place on us by the Dept of Health After your lessons if you could wrap your children up in a towel in a towel and change at home, (obviously with the exception on babies and toddlers ) this would allow others to get into thier lessons promptly. Please bare with us during this time as we have never had to deal with this type of senerio before. Thank you We will continue to provide quality lessons as usual because this is important to continue some normality for our kids. The heat and chlorine are a bonus

21.01.2022 In the last post, I indicated term 3 started June 20 by accident. I meant July 20 :) I have fixed it now.
14.01.2022 Hi to all our Swimcare Families, We hope you are all doing okay and staying safe and healthy in these uncertian times. With restrictions slowly starting to ease we thought we would put out and expression of intrest into one on one swimming lessons. We thought kids could be going a little stir crazy and getting back into some kind of routine and excersise will benefit everyone.... This would obviously have to follow health advice and something that we are just looking into at the moment and trying to work out the best possible way to run these lessons. We would normally charge $45 for a private lesson but will be running these one on one lessons for $25. If you want to have siblings together in the one class this is also something that could possibly do for $40. We would have 1 teacher per pool and only 2 classes running in the center at a time. If this is something you may be interested in. Please contact us with days that would best suit you and your family and we will let you know if we go ahead with the idea. Please note that these lessons will only be temporary and once we are able to open up as normal every child who was enrolled in term 1 will keep their normal day and time unless you tell is otherwise. All our staff are missing seeing your smiling faces every day and we can't wait to be swimming together again. SwimCare
13.01.2022 I have just started texting everyone regarding term 3 (July 20) It will take me a few days to finish all the texts. Let us know either way if you are returning or not; and if you want changes. Texting back on my phone is the best way to communicate :)

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone We are in the process now of organising our private lessons for the remainder of this term. These lesson fall under our covid special of $25. These makeups can be organised by calling the office on 66581114 after 9am Monday 15th June. In Term 3 we will be starting fresh and all classes will return to what they were in term 1. Over the next few days we will also be sending out a text to families asking who will be returning in in term 3 we ask that you reply to these With your Childs name and class level day and time. Once we have heard from you we can secure your spot for term 3. We thank you all for your support over this time. 08.01.2022 Hello Everyone, We want to thank you for your patience and support over this past week. We haven't had all our staff return to normal shifts as yet, we have computer troubles and things just a little all over the place and we understand how frusterating that can be. We will be working on our Term 3 over the next few weeks. Please know that you childs spot will remain the same unless you have told us you are not returning or you have asked to change days or times. We thank eve...ryone who has let us know what their plans are for next term and we are working on getting back to you as soon as possible. If you haven't already please organise your makeups. 03.01.2022 So: Yesterday afternoon we heard we can start again on Monday; but then there was conflicting information that said not until July 1. Every swim school and swimming body in the country seems confused. At Boambee we are going to start Monday doing the private lessons we asked about a few weeks ago. We will be in contact with those people in the next few days. We will have to have a few changes to our normal swimming lesson routines, which we will explain before your lesson...s. We will do the private lessons for the next three weeks, and then we will have school holidays. If anyone else wants to start next week with private lessons, please message us so we can get you in the schedule. By the time July 20 starts, we should be back in our normal termly routine. Before our term 3 starts, we will be contacting everyone who was with us at the end of term 1 before Corona came along. See more
