22.01.2022 SWIM SAFER WEEK! Each year we spend this week, just prior to our Summer break, with a specific focus on staying safer around water - at home, at the beach and on boats. We also emphasise the value of self-rescue and CPR skills. We do ask for your cooperation this week and request the following:... NO GOGGLES this week - please be positive if talking to your child about this. The water will not hurt their eyes and it's important for all children to experience this. BIG POOL CLASSES - all children should bring along some pyjamas or clothing to wear over their bathers so that they can experience a Clothed Swim. Bring an extra plastic bag with you. CPR OPPORTUNITIES - Take a moment to try out your CPR skills and if you have no idea, just approach one of our staff for a quick lesson in what to do. YOU CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE WITH A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE.

21.01.2022 Happy World Teachers' Day to our amazing, dedicated staff. (And to all teachers around the world!)

16.01.2022 Hey Sunday Morning peeps, Todd over at Church Antiques (directly across the road) is running regular "Garage Sales" on Sundays at the moment. A great selection of items from his amazing shop will be out on the tables. Opening 930am. Pop in over there and say Hello!! and pick up some amazing bargains. :D

14.01.2022 The Tasmanian Education Department have changed the dates for Term 1, 2021. Term still begins at the beginning of February, but will now end on 31st March, effectively giving students 3 weeks break, including Easter. This will mean our Term beginning on the 1st Feb (as planned) and ending on March 28th - cutting short your swimming term to just 8 weeks, rather than 9 or 10. This also means that anyone who has paid in advance will have a credit for their swimming that will ...be kept on their account. Apologies for the short notice. Most websites have not been updated with the new dates and we had to call the Education Department for confirmation.

08.01.2022 Classes are filling quickly for Term 1, 2021 - starting on 1st February.

04.01.2022 It’s BACK!! Santa’s Letter Box arrived magically overnight. Write your letters to Santa and be sure to include your full name and age on the letter so he can write back to you.

03.01.2022 Recognise this?

02.01.2022 Swim Safer Week is coming! Every year, before the Summer break, we dedicate one week of classes (every level) to educating parents and children about Water Safety, Self Rescue and Saving Lives. Next week means No Goggles to be worn in any class, opportunities to learn and practice CPR, the chance to try PFDs and have a ride in our boat and so much more. Come along with an open mind and an open heart, as our wonderful team teach you all how to save a life.

02.01.2022 REMINDER Recently we have had a big increase in extra people coming along to watch lessons - grandparents, uncles, cousins, even family friends. Whilst sympathetic to the fact that many extended family members have been missing out on milestones and special swimming moments, we are still under COVID restrictions and the following rules apply to all visitors to our centre: 1) One Adult per Child (in class). eg If you have two children in independent classes, two adults ca...n come along to assist the children if needed. 2) One additional Adult per Child in Parent/Child class. eg Where one adult is in the water with an infant or toddler, an additional adult may attend to assist with dressing the child whilst the adult who swam is getting changed after class. 3) Additional dependent children not swimming are permitted but must sit with the Adult at all times. 4) Children waiting for class or sitting with parents must not wander around and should stay with their family group at all times. Equipment in the centre is not for playing with before or after class as it needs to be sanitised between "bubbles". BYO toys and books please. :) Please adhere to these simple rules to avoid your excess spectators being asked to leave and to reduce the work load for our amazing staff.
