22.01.2022 Simple tip: only one goggle eye out of the water when you breath. Some swimmers lift their heads too high - ouch , sore necks, bad body position and generally inefficient swimming. Simple techniques to make you an easier swimmer. @wadesphotos

15.01.2022 Technique Mondays @ 8.00am It’s true Kicking is not the biggest propulsive force when you are in the water but having an EFFECTIVE kick is crucial for body positioning, reducing drag & engaging your catch and so ultimately going to make you a better swimmer. A lot of swimmers HATE kicking, including open water swimmers & triathletes because they believe: -it doesn’t provide enough propulsion... -it takes away from the run & bike -it exhausts them an EFFECTIVE kick: 1. Gives you a better body position in the water by keeping you higher. 2. A better body position in the water reduces drag. 3. Helps with the timing of your rotation and engaging your catch. Meaning it helps with your power. 4. When your legs are in shape, you’re in shape.
