22.01.2022 Hello, I have found a video that might help those children who are in the Starfish level (paddle arms). I will chat to a friend to see if I can get it shortned to the key points relevent to your children but, if you are keen to get started I have made notes. -2 mins in- she talks about breathing/ bubbles and shows. -3 mins shows star floating, - 6 mins push off from wall/ torpedos, - 7 mins she shows paddles arms- she intialls shows face out but if you can show your child pa...rt where her face is in the water this sets the goal. You as a parent if you have the time to watch the whole video you will see, when she swims with her head out how her hips, legs sit down under the water causing more drag (aka harder to swim). She also explains a few things we do in lessons I dont always get the time to explain. I'll keep you posted if I can get the short version of video sorted and post on here- please if you have any questions or concerns, let me know. Swimfit will not charge for this. Just a reminder if anyone has any make up classes owed please let me know so we can sort that out. 14.01.2022 As we can not have lessons, I'd like to share some information tips on here to help bridge the gap between lessons. To direct my information and tips- can you please answer- -Do you have a pool or regular access to a pool? -Would your child swim in ocean or lake?... And lastly- but perhaps most importantly- how are you? I am missing being in the pool and teaching your wonderful children but I am being kept busy schooling my two monkeys and working 32 hours a week at my part time job. Drop me a comment on how you and your family is doing :)

12.01.2022 Hello :) Not swimming related but im looking at doing support work during the school holidays coming up and every school holidays. If anyone is interested let me know :) I hold cert 3 early childhood, been a therapy assistant for nearly 5 years, working on my cert 4 ed support, working as a teacher aide at a special school, have blue card, police check, first aide,plus obviously qualified swim teacher. So yeah, any questions let me know :) If I get enough interest then will ...apply for ABN and get relevant insurance. 12.01.2022 Hello wonderful people, my kids and I will be on a mini holiday later this month so it means no classes on Fri- 23rd Oct and Sun 25th Oct. I'm sorry for any inconvenience and thank you. 08.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Reopening We are very excited to announce that our aquatic centres will reopen next week on Saturday 13 June! The State Government has released i...ts Industry Plan for aquatic centres which includes the following key guidelines: For adult patrons - indoor/outdoor pools: capacity limited to a maximum of one person per 10 square metres of water surface area. Patrons of school age or younger that use swimming pools and accompanying facilities for training, education and general use purposes may do so without a limit on the number of swimmers per lane or per pool provided buffer zones are managed between adult patrons and children. Swimming lessons can resume with instructor-led classes in the water. Social distancing will apply where practical but the safety and hands-on nature of learn-to-swim education is recognised and approved. Venues with multiple pools/spaces can have multiple groups of 20 for adults and larger groups of children so long as social distance between groups is observed and patron details are recorded and kept. Mayor Jamieson said patrons would be met with a welcome sight on their return to the aquatic centres. During our time of closure Sunshine Coast Council proactively brought forward refurbishments to a number of the regions aquatic centres. While the Cotton Tree 25m pool is still undergoing renovations, it is expected that this pool will be fully operational shortly after our reopening on the 13th June. However, the following refurbishments are complete: - Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre learn to swim pool resurfacing. - Eumundi Aquatic Centre repair of the storage shed and learn-to-swim pool plastic curtains. Information will be sent directly via email to our patrons early next week regarding Learn to Swim, Squads and Aqua Aerobics sessions. We will continue to work hard behind the scenes to put the final touches in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our patrons and staff upon our reopening. We thank everyone for their patience during this time and look forward to welcoming you back from Saturday the 13th June.

04.01.2022 Hello :) Just wanted to give you all a heads up that over Easter school holidays I will be taking the sunday off to spend some time with my family. It's my daughter Lilyana s birthday on the 5th of April and also 12th of April is Easter Sunday (and day before my birthday ) so no lessons on those days.
