23.01.2022 The road to recover stolen wages for employees is a long and difficult one, as many of our members are aware. There needs to be a better way that supports the victims of wage theft and penalises the employer for doing the wrong thing, not the worker. https://action.australianunions.org.au/wage-theft-petition

22.01.2022 Supplying hand sanitiser at your workplace? Make sure each station has the ingredient list accessible to decrease the risk to staff or patrons with skin allergies. This is particularly important if buying bulk product and decanting to smaller containers. Hand Sanitisers and Gels have a range of alcohol content from 65% - 80%, this puts them in Class 3, flammable goods. These will also fall into the Dangerous Goods classification so make sure to update your Safety Data Sheet folder.

10.01.2022 With an increase in the number of Summer drownings reported to date by Royal Life Saving Society - Australia, in comparison to this time last year, we must be vigilant around all types of waterways. Supervision, reminders to swim at patrolled beaches, and limiting risky behaviour is paramount in the prevention of further deaths. As aquatic employees we can all play our part by ensuring we include important safety information and activities in lessons as well as modelling good water safety practices when we're engaging in recreational activities. https://www.royallifesaving.com.au/fac/summer-drowning-toll
