25.01.2022 Swimming pools are one of the safest environments during COVID. For all my swimming friends - Factual information is important. Engaged by Swimming Victoria, I ...was asked to fast-track a literature review on the relationship between Swimming Pools and COVID 19. With the ever-changing COVID-19 environment, I believe it is the first of its kind in Australia. Unfortunately, Swimming Pools and their operations are often a misunderstood environment. Through lack of knowledge and incorrect assumptions, decisions are being made that negatively impact a highly regulated industry. But more than anything, the review provided fascinating information. Things I am sure the industry has known all along. As international scientific evidence has acknowledged, pools are one of the safe environments. To read the full review, go to: https://bit.ly/32IUicb Lets get the Aquatic Industry swimming again, and get all swimming pools reopened. Whats your sport? 17.01.2022 **2021 Age Sprint & Relay Championships** We have had some questions about spectator tickets for our Sprint & Relay Championships. Being back means we start bringing us back with social events, pizza night, social breakfast and in club time trials. Tickets can be purchased via Village Cinemas Website.

12.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HOBART QT THIS WEEKEND In order to comply with COVID-19 protocols the following measures have been put in place for the upcoming qualifying trial and must be complied with by all attendees: All swimmers, coaches, team managers and spectators can enter via the back (Aberdeen St) entrance. The DKHAC has kindly waived the spectator fee for all STAS meets for the rest of this year so that authorised parents and spectators can enter with their swimmers.... Doors will open at 2:30pm. Once racing starts, the doors will be locked, when finished everyone is to exit via the front door. Parents and spectators will not be permitted entry unless they have purchased a ticket (at no cost) via Swim Central in advance. Once you have entered please proceed to your club team manager to have your name marked off the attendance list. The first bay of seats at the dive end of the pool, and the back row of every other bay, is reserved for parents and spectators. All swimmers must sit with their clubs, and not their parents, and must remain seated in the grandstand unless they are swimming or marshalling for a race. Please adhere to the one person, one bag rule when seated ie keep one seat between you and the next person. There will be a one way marshalling system which means that all swimmers must enter the marshalling area around the back of the dive towers ie. walk past the meeting rooms and around the back of the dive pool to check in at the marshalling desk. Swimmers should leave the facility as soon as their last race is finished. Warm up lanes will be allocated to clubs on the same basis as timekeeper lanes. All clubs may access the dive lanes (ie. lanes 1 and 8) once this is permitted in accordance with Swimming Tasmania Meet Rules (10 mins before the end of warm up). Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the COVID restrictions and work together to ensure that we can continue running swim meets for our athletes. As always we will continue to refine these processes after each meet to ensure that we are meeting the requirements of our COVID safe plan, while at the same time ensuring that the meet runs as smoothly as possible.
