12.01.2022 PHOTO OF THE DAY: In 2015, a 100-year-old Japanese woman has become the world’s first centenarian to complete a 1,500-metre freestyle swim, 20 years after she took up the sport. Mieko Nagaoka took just under an hour and 16 minutes to finish the race as the sole competitor in the 100 to 104-year-old category at a short course pool in Ehime, western Japan, on Saturday.... I want to swim until I turn 105 if I can live that long." Her achievement is expected to be recognised by Guinness World Records. 10.01.2022 Hi all! I hope everyone is coping well with the current situation and ensuring that hydration, exercise and nutrition are keeping your minds healthy and occupied. Apologies for not keeping updated for these past few weeks as it's been challenging to keep up with the virus reports. So, depending on government and industry health guidelines, we'll reopen on Sunday 20th of September. The usual schedule applies and will cover the 3 weeks that have been missed (Monday - Thursday s...tudents = 3 missed, Friday - Sunday students = 2 missed). Our Term 4 will resume Monday 12th of October - Friday 18th of December. Leading into Term 1 2021, we'll open up a free 2 week intensive holiday program for all students enrolled at the end of Term 4 2020. At this point, it will be Monday through Friday only and pre-bookings will apply. But I will keep you updated at a later date... Thank you to all our parents ( and the wider community) involved in the border force, police, nurses, doctors, pharmacists, teachers and cleaners and all other essential workers, you play a large role in our lives and "thank you" just doesn't seem to cut it. Hope to see you all in the coming months!

02.01.2022 Hi all! Welcome back to another SPLASH beginning. As some of you may have already noticed, we have created a Spotify music playlist for SPLASH. A fun thing for all of you and the kids to enjoy! If you have any requests, please don't hesitate to ask and it will be added on. Bare in mind that Spotify will shuffle through the playlist and songs may not be played specifically, but, click on the link so you can see for yourselves. Also, if your children want to submit any drawing... creations, that would be amazing! Have it signed (name or initials), and possibly a description of the masterpiece, and it will be posted on Facebook. Natalie will be around, so you can give them to her to collect. :-D https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1XsfCpLyxGcw9h7GD8X35u

01.01.2022 A mildly terrifying 1920s full faced swimming mask designed to protect you from the sun. Looks more like a Mexican wrestler smiling for the camera. Remember to slip, slop, slap!
