24.01.2022 Very keen to see this area managed more effectively for the safety of all visitors and users of this beautiful location, to lessen the amount of incidents and near misses that are occurring. Always happy to help authorities to save lives and prevent drowning.

23.01.2022 Great to see a quality patrol set up and patrol members on the waters edge demonstrating vigilance and service to the community. Also good to see the No Swimming sign up near the headland where there is always a fixed rip. It is so important to our safety to obey the safety signage and Always Swim Between The Red and Yellow Flags. Well done North Burleigh SLSC.

19.01.2022 Very disappointed and concerned for visitor safety that Surf Lifesaving has been replaced as the Lifeguard provider at one of Queensland’s drowning capitals, Green Island off Cairns. 19 years of dedicated hard work now over. Hopefully the new provider has the same vision!

04.01.2022 The Tangalooma Wrecks a beautiful location on Moreton Island, a play ground for, snorkelers, swimmers, boaters and fishers, however also known for very strong currents and many visitor near misses and rescues. More can be done to minimise incidents.

03.01.2022 Tallebudgera Creek this morning on the incoming tide. With the king tides (a tide over 2.0 metres) this week in SE Qld be mindful when swimming in creeks and rivers of stronger than normal water movement (currents) travelling upstream on the incoming tide and downstream on the outgoing tide. Swim with a friend, stay close to shore and always supervise your children.
