23.01.2022 The reason swim lessons are so important!!

22.01.2022 Swimming Lessons are such an important part of a child’s development. Water safety and motor skills are both enhanced by doing swim lessons in a controlled caring environment.

20.01.2022 Let’s make sure we keep everyone safe, we enjoy having you back at our pool to much to be closed again. QR code’s have been made mandatory in NSW and WA. Please use our QR code before entering our centre.

17.01.2022 Swim lessons teach children a healthy respect for water, what they can and can’t do, we teach rules and behaviours required around water!

14.01.2022 It’s been a busy start to swimming lessons in 2021. What is very noticeable is the number of 4 to 6 year olds who have regressed or not taken the leap forward due to not doing swimming lessons over the past 10 months. What is also noticeable is the number of 2 to 4 year olds who have now started their swimming lessons a year later than what would have been normal. This is causing a abundance of children 3 to 7 years all still being beginners when it comes to swimming! Ou...r 8 - 10 year olds are struggling for aerobic capacity, this is so important for a child as they grow. Being able to swim 50 metre unfortunately just isn’t safe. The challenges we are now facing are greater than ever before, and with Covid restrictions still very much front of mind, we are finding new challenges every day. We also have many adults and teenagers looking at taking the plunge to learning to swim. Yes we are extremely busy, a great problem to have, but with so many students needing tuition, where do we find teachers. We have also had a year with either teachers gaining limited experience and no new teachers being trained. I’ve always believed it take a good 12 months of Independant teaching to become comfortable with the large range of personalities and levels of children. Every child is unique! We are also doing the Murrumbeena Primary School swimming program so our pool is certainly being we’ll utilised. If you know anyone with a passion for swimming and child safety get them to Private message Antony Edwards. Swimming is back, let’s try to do all we can to remain safe!

13.01.2022 As we are about to slide our door closed on our first week back after a long Covid Closure we want to take a moment to say thank you. It has been a long and hectic few weeks for our admin staff preparing for your return. The joy we have got this week from seeing your excitement to be back (although a few understandably were nervous) was just the reminder we needed of what we have missed and have been working hard for. Our biggest thank you from the bottom of our hearts ...for your continued support. Without YOU, we wouldn’t be able to continue to follow our passion to teach your children a love & healthy respect for water and to give them the best possible chance of being safe around water. And to fulfill our Swimsafe mission ‘to promote water awareness and water safety’. See you next week for some fun activities for National Swim Safer Week

06.01.2022 Have we got our Priorities mixed up?

01.01.2022 Isn’t it great having so many children back in the water, love seeing all the new babies and parents having fun, toddler in our shallow end exploring and experimenting to learn new skills. Hopefully we can open up greater availability next week as restrictions ease so more children have the opportunity to do lessons and have fun.
