21.01.2022 This week (and every week) we want to acknowledge and thank all the volunteers who give up their time, energy and resources to support our swimmers to achieve their goals. With out volunteers our club would not exist. So we thank every one of from the bottom of our hearts.

So today we thank all those who have volunteered for our club over the past year and thank them in advance for volunteering for us tomorrow at our Summerfun Carnival. The club can not run with out volunteers. The swimmers and the board thank each and every one of you. #togetherwecan

14.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to the latest outbreaks of COVID in the Sydney area Swimwest has decided to cancel our Keep Calm Carnival which was going to be held on 24th January. All entry fees will be refunded. We are really sorry, but the health of the swimmers, families and officials is more important. We hope to see you all at our short course carnival in April at SOPAC

11.01.2022 Today we held our Summerfun Carnival. We had some great PB’s from all our swimmers. Congratulations all, you did the club proud. We thank all our volunteers for their time and effort they put in to making this day a success for our club. We cannot run these events with out our volunteers. ***Please note*** that due to the big day we have all had today, there will be no training in the morning. The will also be no club night as there was only a couple of entries, so we will re...st up instead. Monday night the 14th December will be our last club night for the year. 11.01.2022 Thank you to our swimmers for all their hard work in their limited time in the pool this year. Ben will be taking a well deserved break from coaching over the Christmas and New year. Squads will resume on Monday morning the 4th January 2021. Ben looks forward to seeing you all back then and working with you all in 2021.

10.01.2022 Dear Swimwest team, members and families, Thank you for your patience over the past couple of months. As most members would have seen on Monday the YMCA has made the decision to not open the centre or the pool under the phase 1 restriction changes allowing a 10 person limit. Over the coming weeks as we continue to change and move to phase 2, the centre may open under those restrictions. What this will mean to all members of the centre will be clearer closer to the change. ...I will keep everyone informed as these details become available. As you may be aware the indoor pool has been undergoing renovations to the pool including resurfacing, water features, and other necessary upgrades. The reopening may coincide with the completion of the renovations which will have the squads training inside. If anyone has any questions please feel to contact me. Stay safe. Ben has just revved the 3 of them up for their afternoon swims. Good luck team. 03.01.2022 Happy Good Friday Swimwest family. I hope everyone is well and staying safe. Just a short note to check in on everyone and make sure you are are all keeping physically and mentally fit during what is a very different Easter for all. ... Thank you to our club captains for reaching out last week and I encourage all the swimmers and the parents of the younger team members to take part. I would like to know how everyone is spending their Easter long weekend ? My family and I are spending time doing some overdue renovations. So a lot of remodeling and painting going in our house at the moment. It is good physically as well as mentally when you get to look over the end result. We are also walking on a regular basis to keep active and to enjoy some of the lovely sunshine , although as I type this message we just had a downpour. Anyway, enough from me.
