22.01.2022 Perfect? I'm totally perfect and didn't put the wrong form link in at all! So the world spins like a great dice and we have come around again to this: It’s time for the SwinanimeXSTARS AGM! That’s Annual General Meeting, a time for as many members as possible to come together and discuss the future of the club! We’ll be holding it during the screening on October 26th, that’s between 2:30pm and 9:30pm in TC217.... Perhaps the most important part of the AGM is selecting the club committee for 2019. All nominees wait first things first, nominations are now open! If you want the experience, the perks the ego stroking, or have the passion, nominate yourself for a committee position, or all the committee positions at this link: https://goo.gl/forms/V1OIq270EM5JozRm2 Committee Positions: Core 3 (Must be filled) President: Leads the committee, represents the club, hosts meetings and sets the direction for the committee Secretary: Manages club communications, handles questions and keeps everything organised Treasurer: Keeps track of club funds and equipment, organises storage Auxiliary Positions: Anime Events Co-ordinator: Organises anime screening and off-site events, manages volunteers Tabletop Events Co-ordinator: Organises games sessions, manages volunteers Vice President: Covers for the president, assists other committee members during high workload Sponsorship Co-ordinator: Maintains contact with our sponsors and keeps track of sponsorship agreements, locates and negotiates with new sponsors. To stand for a committee position you must be enrolled in at least one Swinburne Uni subject in 2019. New committee members bring new ideas and drive to the club. It’s important that we change with the student culture at Swinburne. In time older members graduate and leave the committee leaving room for you to step up and help the club to continue our showcase of games, anime and friendship! Back on course, if you’re not standing for a position, what can you do? Well it’s good to have nominees, but it’s up to you to vote on them! At the AGM with be information on each nominee, and we encourage you all to come down and have your say on where we’ll all be going next year. It’ll be no good having just one or two people, we need as many members who can come to vote, even if you just pop in for 5 minutes. Well that’s all from the committee, see you Friday!
