25.01.2022 Tonight is basically the start of Swingmania with interstaters already arriving! Plus were going to be working on the loveliest (in my opinion) of the swing dances - balboa! Heres a video from the Melbourne Performance Ball last weekend - so simple and yet so much fun, and perfect for a packed floor. Id love to share with you a short presentation/conversation on The Art Of Social Dancing - a beautiful piece by the incredible Peter Flahiff over dinner - so lets all pack into the back section and Ill talk while we eat. It might give you a few tips and tricks to getting the most out of SwingMania.... And then daaaaaaaaaaaaaaancing!

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, Class is on tonight as usual - thats beginners at 6:30pm followed by alchemy from 7:30 or 8pm - woo hoo!! I hope everyone is staying safe dry & warm and please dont rush or take risks to get to class or social tonight. Class is revision and alchemy will be fun as usual (and on each month).... If you have some time check the videos out, take notes of your favourite bits and maybe we might work some of these sweet moves into classes! 13.01.2022 CLASS TONIGHT! Were in the final stages of preparing for Swingmania, and without a doubt somewhere there will be a group charleston - so tonight well start off with that, then work through some tandem charleston and balboa so were all set and ready for the amazing classes by Catherine and Max. Tickets are still available, but not long left now so you need to register asap if you havent yet - everyone will be talking about it for weeks, or months, or years, so dont miss o...ut. 02.01.2022 Hi everybody, Tony here. A few people already know, but just letting everybody know...... This Wednesday night will be the last class for swing patrol Tasmania in Launceston! Also happens to be our Christmas alchemy night! We would love to see you all there to celebrate / Thank you all for an amazing 10 years Rach and I have had!!! Also to celebrate Christmas time!!! Unfortunately we do not have as much time to dedicate to teaching now as I travel a lot for work and we have the most amazing, gorgeous little girl (Ariella) at home that takes up a lot of our time! She is such a little groover!!! As soon as the music is on, the feet start grooving and bouncing! Look out in A few years! ;-) Rachel and I have been on an amazing journey over the last 10 years and met so many wonderful people along the way! There are so many people that we need to thank for the support over the last 10 years but there is just too many... but there are a few that I need to mention!!! Scott and Claudia, From swing patrol for letting us in to your wonderful family of Swing patrol! What an amazing ride! I have been dancing for a long time but when I came across the Lindy hop... I found the style that really got me! Graham, If it was not for Graham asking us 10 years ago!!! We would not be here today! Thanks mate for pushing us to jump into it with out any swing dancing experience! We were flying blind, not knowing if we could do it! but look where we are now! 10 years later :-) Tom and Katelyn! Thank you so much for the passion, energy and support that you guys brought into our scene! Tom you saved me so many times when I really needed a break! Cassie, Your support over the last 12 months have been amazing... teaching/ DJing, running the show when we both Rach and I could not be there! if it wasnt for your love and energy that you bring, We wouldnt of been able to have kept it going! Everybody that comes to class every week! Thank you so much... Seeing you guys every week with a smile on your face as you come in the door and watching you smile and laugh with each other through class has kept me going over the last 12 months!
