19.01.2022 Well it’s definitely been a long road to the top to get back to Swing dancing like we used to and right now the new normal feels a lot like the old normal!!! even though we are still very conscious we also allow ourselves to freely dance responsibly have fun and totally allow ourselves to find the joy once again in Lindy hop! Here is what we learnt tonight on the Gold Coast but check our stories for the majority the fun that happened in between.. looking forward to Mullumbimby classes on Thursday night 630 NSW time!

Class Times now starting at 6.30pm Class cost is $20pp Class Venue is Now - Mullumbimby Ex Services Club 58 Dally St START DATE: Thursday 7 January 2021 Welcome to the NEW Swing On In Northern NSW Classes. Lindy Hop, Charleston, Shag, The Big Apple, Jazz, Technique, Lead and Follow Exercises, Mini Patterns, little routines, rhythms changes and some surprises and of course we guarantee: fun, joy, laughter and Repeat! THURSDAY NIGHTS: Mullumbimby Ex Services Club - 58 Dalley St - 6.30pm - $20pp The club has a great feel, beautiful and cheap meals and the bar is also really affordable. 03.01.2022 Recently Ray and I clocked up 25 years together, dancing, raising a family, creating a swing dance community amongst other life fulfilling fun and not so fun bits.. 3 things you may not know about me/us is that I have a fear of getting and looking old (yes its a wasted vanity energy I know) and 2: Ray has huge fear and anxiety over performing and being on camera and ... 3: after I recovered from Cancer, we said from then on we would say YES to EVERY opportunity that was asked of us, no matter how far out of our comfort zone it would place us so as to experience all this life has to offer us. Well... not so long ago we were asked to be apart of a music video for Ziggy Alberts new song #Heartbeat and that the story was we were an old couple 70+ (us) reflecting and reminiscing about our younger selves meeting at dance class when we were just kids and how our love of each other and dance stayed with us until the end. This song and video is romantic and beautiful and looking past the dance and our looks, as Ray and I watched this video this morning we both had tears in our eyes.. we both felt the love and we both know (always have known) that we WILL grow old together and we will keep dancing until then end and the best part.... we are not there yet and our journey together still has a long way to go.
