16.01.2022 We have added a Pro-Am Jack & Jill competition on Friday night at Swingsation 2020!!! Pro-Am Jack & Jill contests are a fun opportunity to dance with a professional level dancer in a competition format. Leaders and followers are randomly paired, although one partner will always be a Professional and the other will be an Amateur (open to Novice and Intermediate levels only) Entries are limited to the first 40 leads and 40 follows to register, so jump online and add it to your registration now!

07.01.2022 I HEAR YOU... With Swingsation 2020 only 2 months away, there is a lot of uncertainty in the community about dance events going ahead because of the Coronavirus. I want to assure you that I am monitoring the situation closely and will absolutely do the right thing for our attendees. 1. I promise to keep you informed of any changes to our event staff due to travel restrictions. ... 2. I promise to implement sound hygiene practices at the event. 3. I promise to do my utmost best to provide you with value for money when it comes to education, entertainment and fun factor at the event. 4. I promise to make decisions based on factual information. Your health and safety is very important to me. 6. I promise to abide by any governmental rulings containing the spread of the virus. 7. I promise that IF the event is cancelled, I will either refund your money or transfer it to next years event. As you can appreciate, it takes a lot of money, energy and love to run an event like Swingsation. Anything can happen in two months. I'm hopeful that things will improve and bans will be lifted. However, if that does not happen, or things get worse, I'll make the important decisions as they arise and keep you up to date. Until then, please try not to panic, registrations will remain open and we encourage you to join us at the event. Thank you for your loyalty and trust, stay safe and healthy. 02.01.2022 Dearest Friends, Today the Australian government announced all indoor events with over 100 participants must be cancelled in an attempt to stop the Coronavirus from spreading. I fully support this decision as your safety is the most important thing to me. This sadly means that Swingsation 2020 cannot go ahead. I've decided to postpone this event to next year and already have the dates set as the 20th - 24th of May 2021. ... This is a really tough and disheartening message to deliver to you, because our event was only around the corner. I have already paid for many expenses and this has left me in a difficult situation financially. Your registrations and payments will be transferred to 2021 and if you cannot make it to our event in 2021, please send an email to [email protected]. Alternatively, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. By taking these measures we can ensure the success of next years event. I hope you can understand this exceptional situation and I kindly ask for your support. I realise many of you have room bookings at the Mantra Hotel. If you booked using our discount code, Mantra reservations should not have deducted any payment as yet and if you have already made payment to them, they will process a refund upon request. I wish you all the best with cancelling or transferring your flight bookings. If you are from interstate, have non refundable flights and would like to come to the GC for a holiday, please let me know. But what was really outstanding was experiencing the way our community came together in the dollar dance to raise $5110.00 for the victims & families of the Christchurch shooting. A massive thank you to everyone who participated and gave from their heart...
