12.01.2022 Mobile Passport Station coming to Perth, WA Dear Fellow Citizens,... Do you need or wish to renew your Swiss passport and/or ID card? The mobile passport station is coming to Perth in 2019. The Consulate General of Switzerland in Sydney is happy to announce that it will operate a mobile passport station in: Perth: from 08.04.-10.04.2019 (venue to be advised at a later stage) During this visit we will collect your photo, fingerprints and signature. The data is required to issue your new Swiss travel document that complies with todays requirements to authenticate the identity of travelers.Please note that biometric data cannot be stored for future reference and a new travel document will be issued right after collection of your biometric data. Should you wish to apply for a Swiss travel document and have your biometric data registered, please sign up online on the following website by Sunday 10.02.2019 at the latest! 09.01.2022 UPDATE on Chalet Rigi We are pleased to report that although our application to reopen the restaurant with a capacity of 480 persons was not accepted by Cit...y of Kalamunda Councillors, we did receive approval to reopen with a capacity of 350 persons. This approval is subject to meeting a new list of planning conditions, some of which will be very costly and time consuming to put in place, and most of which have not been required of other developments in the area. While we are very excited to finally be able to move forward with reopening the restaurant, we also need to plan our next steps carefully in what has already been a very lengthy process to bring iconic Chalet Rigi back to life. Thank you so much for all the support we have received so far - it has been more than we could have expected and we are so happy that the majority of the community is behind us! We sincerely appreciate all your messages of encouragement and will keep you informed in relation to how we progress. We would also like to thank Evergreen Consultancy WA who has worked tirelessly to make this possible. Watch this space! 02.01.2022 Dear Swiss Friends, We still have a few places for the Fondue Night on Saturday the 17th of October 2020, Swiss Club Property in Gidgegannup... You will need to bring: Caquelon and Rechaud, forks, plates, methylated spirits or paste, glasses and BYO Drinks. Please also bring a dessert to share. (Please let us know if you have a spare fondue set or you need to borrow one so we can organise one for you). We will be cooking the fondue and provide everything except drinks. The shed will be enclosed with heating inside we still recommend you wear warm clothes. Please arrive by about 4:30pm, so you can mingle while we prepare your Fondue. We will start cooking from 5:30pm Please RSVP by Friday 9th October 2020 -To allow us enough time to purchase the ingredients. Members is $20, children $12, Non-Members is $30, children $18.
