The grandstand extension and the new function room have now been finished as the more than $10 million sta...ge two of the development draws to a close. Albury Mayor Kevin Mack says the ground is on par with Manuka Oval in Canberra and 'ten times' better than Eureka Stadium in Ballarat. The ground now also has new change rooms and AFL-level coaching and media boxes. Stage three, due to be completed by September next year, will include a new scoreboard, the Centaur Road car park, more seating, netball facility upgrades and a timekeeper's facility. Albury Council is now trying to attract major sporting events to the stadium for its official opening.
