Jandai and Guwar is undergoing a transformative journey that is part of a Quandamooka paradigm of language reclamation. This visual story of old and new highlights elements of that journey. Stories contain the wisdom of the Country, teaching cultural values, building community, celebrating cultural histories and preserving cultural identity. Price = $750

01.01.2022 Gungal Gowanjajara Shades of Mangrove Country Sandra Delaney’s use of symbolic art portrays the Quandamooka mangrove system’s inner strength and importance as a major contributor for yarabinjara -sea country as it provides niches for various fauna. The use of colour in this painting also seeks to depict the elements of the mangrove system within Quandamooka country. In this contemporary way, the colours evokes a dizzying array of sensory experience and physicalities: the seasons, flora and fauna, emotions, physical sensation, landforms, journeys, ceremony, memory and ethereal aspects of country.
