24.01.2022 Just letting you know we are open this Monday for the long weekend. 8am until midday, for breakfast, cake and coffee. Hope everyone enjoys the extra day off.

Some of our members have been doing drive arounds and dropping s...lips into letterboxes with lights up. We may not have reached everyone, or you may have lights up after we did your area. This is our way of giving back to our community and it is also a fundraiser for our service club, so the more entries the better. You can get a list of nominated houses and voting slips from Swooping Magpie cafe, Ambie...nce on Lord St or the Illabo general store. You need to return your voting slip to Swooping Magpie or Ambience by December 20. There is a list in the window of the cafe, that you can take a photo of, if you are out looking at lights and we are closed. We have already had some votes come in. See more

18.01.2022 The Swooping Magpie Cafe is now closed for Christmas. We wish all our customers, and the community, a safe and happy Christmas. We hope that 2021 will not bring the challenges that this year has. We will reopen on January 12 at 7am, in what we hope is the year of the Magpies! Cheers!

17.01.2022 The Swooping Magpie Cafe has a vacancy for a cook for Sunday mornings. It is approximately a 5 hours shift, cooking breakfast only. Starting time is 7.45am through to 12.30pm. You may be required to serve customers and make coffee on occasions, but it is mainly cooking. We would prefer someone with experience and require an adult. Please contact the cafe if you wish to be considered for this position. There may be other shifts available in the future.

01.01.2022 The Junee Lions Club is holding a Christmas Lights Competition. It will be $2 per house to enter. Entries need to be in by December 7. Entry forms are available... from Swooping Magpie Cafe or Ambience on Lord St, upstairs at the Licorice Factory. First prize is $100 open order at a Junee business of your choice, runner up is a $50 open order at a Junee business of your choice. It will be the Junee community that votes. More details about voting will come after nominations close. Feel free to contact either Swooping Magpie or Ambience if you require more information.
