Please remember to: - check your armour for damage in particular sharp edges - reapply fresh silicon to your latex weapons... - check all of your ammunition for ranged weapons for wear and tear, and appropriate marking/identifiers I will post the details of our guidelines for operations under Covidstage 3 restrictions shortly

16.01.2022 INTRODUCING OUR NEW PERSONAL INJURY INSURANCE Good Morning Swordcraft, Commencing January 1, 2021, Swordcraft will be introducing a new personal injury insuran...ce program for our players. This will enable you to make a claim for injuries sustained during the game, covering all players who have signed and agreed to our T&C via our online ticketing system for our games or events - for the duration of the game or event. Some of the key benefits included with this insurance includes dental, fractured bones and temporary disablement as a result of bodily injury during our events. The wellbeing of our community is of the utmost importance to us, and we’re pleased that we’re able to provide this safety net of sorts for you all should the worst happen. We will be updating our website shortly to include further details, as well as information on how to make a claim should you need to. 14.01.2022 We're back! We have officially received permission from the national Executive to resume face to face play!! Our first event is planned for Sunday ther 25th of October - yes, that is only 8 days from now!... The details are being finalised at the moment, and the Facebook event will be up very soon. There are some guidelines for how the event will run, based on SA Health's requirements, and all of the documentation will be made available here via Facebook and on site at the event. So... Get your armour clean and oiled. Stretch those sword-wielding muscles. Prepare your weapons. And we'll see you in Port Augusta on the 25th!

12.01.2022 Resumption of Play In line with the updated COVID-19 guidelines, SCIT is eligible to return to play from tomorrow. At this stage this means that we will be going ahead with our final event for 2020, on the 13th of December. Our existing safe play protocols are sufficient, and there are minor changes to our Covid-safe plan, namely:... - a reduction of the maximum attendance at the Braddock gym venue to 125 people - use of the mySA Gov QR code for contact tracing. If you are not already familiar with the SA contact tracing tool, as a requirement of our updated plan, there are three ways to register your attendance at an event: - signing in on the paper contact list provided by SA Health - scanning the SCIT QR code at the event and recording your contact details in the online form - Downloading the mySA Gov App, pre-registering your contact details and using this to scan the SCIT QR Code The SCIT Executive is committed to providing as safe an environment as possible, while doing our best to allow you, our players, to enjoy the hobby we love. We are looking forward to having you join us for our final event for the year!

05.01.2022 Planning for Return to Play Hi all, Firstly I'd like to apologise that it has taken this long to get to this point. I am sure that you have seen many other clubs, sports and associations beginning to come back to life, and wondered when it would be our turn. Given the nature of the sport we all play, I have been very cautious in trying to ensure that when we next step out onto the field, we are not only compliant with state and federal guidelines for the current situation, bu...t that I have done everything possible to ensure that the plans we have in place provide the safest possible environment for all of us in the event of a resurgence of COVID-19 in SA. So.... what is the plan? I have received approval to return to play at our Port Augusta venue, in compliance with Department for Education guidelines. Swordcraft Iron Triangle has registered a COVID-Safe plan with SA Health, and this will be available at every event. I have written a detailed venue plan for Braddock Oval and Braddock Gym, outlining processes and requirements for players, volunteers and even organisers. This final stage is the most important, and has been submitted to the local Executive. Once it has been cleared here, I will forward it to the National Executive of Swordcraft, who have the final say regarding our return to play. Once we receive that approval, I will publicise the plan to you, our community, and announce the date for return to play. Given the additional paperwork, preparation and clean-up required to maintain player safety, we will be commencing with a monthly game in our usual Sunday afternoon timeslot. I am sure that you are all as keen to get back on the field as I am, so providing this process goes ahead as planned, and there are no further changes issued by SA Health, we should be back out and fighting very soon!
