06.01.2022 Thunder Family could you please share this post with anyone you feel may be interested in the great opportunity presented below!!!!!!!! SWQ Thunder FC is excited about the prospect of developing junior female players and will be establishing various development programs in 2021. In our experience when our young female players get the opportunity to train and play together, they, more often than not, flourish and enjoy the beautiful game more, developing and improving their sk...ills in a more comfortable, less pressured environment. The Club intends to develop teams in the age groups between U9 and U13 which would include girls born from 2008 to 2012, based on the SAP and NPL programs currently run with the boys and other girls teams. The teams will participate in appropriate local Toowoomba Football League (TFL) competitions and also have games against our Thunder Boys Academy teams. They will also participate in a number of friendlies and/or carnivals in Brisbane. Lastly, there will be the opportunity to train with other Thunder teams and have the involvement of coaches that have vast experience in coaching Women's football at the highest levels. This is an exciting time to be involved with the SWQ Thunder Club as it expands and further develops our Junior players. You are invited to become part of the SWQ Thunder family, training twice a week with a qualified Thunder Coach. The Club has been fortunate enough to secure sponsorship specifically for this program and as a result, we are able to offer a further reduction in fees to join. The cost to join will now be $420 for the year which will run from March. We will have an initial training/trial session on Friday 5 February from 5pm to 6:00pm at the Captain Cook Fields.
