23.01.2022 As part of Bridgetown's Ashbil Community Garden's Intergenerational Venture the Bridgetown Friendship Club & The Stepping Stones Early Learning Group came together to enjoy a morning of interaction, a cuppa & a chat. Some chose to participate in a game of quoits, others went for a wander around the garden while some just sat and enjoyed watching the activities in the wonderful environment the members have created. A big thank you to all involved for making this such a lovely morning where many friendships were formed.

Stories from colleagues & friends and their memories of meeting and working with Judy were shared by everyone before presenting her with a book of memories. Judy has been one of our very valued staff members for many years. She is so kindhearted and understanding, goes over and above for all of our wonderful Clients and is loved by all. She will be greatly missed and we all wish her the very best for whatever she has planned in the future (perhaps lots of Freo games on the agenda )

22.01.2022 Carers Australia understands the problems many carers are experiencing during this pandemic, including with their income, financial support and looking after th...e person they care for. We acknowledge that Commonwealth and state and territory governments are developing new supports for many Australians in response to the COVID-19 crisis. We will keep assessing new information as it becomes available and will continue to post updates to the Carers Australia website and on our social media channels. We know that there are areas we should focus on, and we are developing a position to take to the Government that we hope would give more support to carers during this difficult time. Our website currently hosts continuously updated information on important information for carers: https://bit.ly/3dP45lB

09.01.2022 The Bridgetown Friendship Club recently relocated to The Bridgetown Library. Everyone is really enjoying the new venue. Our Club members really like being able to take advantage of the lovely environment/walk paths that surround the library (weather permitting of course!). Last week The Bridgetown Library had officially been open for 7 yrs. Our Friendship Club invited Jackie, the Library Coordinator, to give a talk about the library's facilities. Following this our members... enjoyed reminiscing, looking at some books and treasures that they and our staff had brought in for this special occasion. Our members have also been practicing for their next attendance at the Aged Care Games which was unfortunately put on hold this year due to COVID-19. Hopefully it won't be too long until they can show of their skills again! The Bridgetown Friendship Club is held every Thursday. Our members look forward to attending each week, enjoying a wide variety of activities and also participating in occasional outings throughout the year.
