20.01.2022 Las Vegas - an oasis in the Nevada desert like no place on earth. Who has a story to share from a trip to Vegas?

19.01.2022 Who is travelling this year and where are you going? Seems everyone we speak to has either been on a trip or is planning one. People are enjoying more "experiences" with their trips based around activites instead of just seeing the sights. We have just returned from China. Wonderful experience, and so much to see and do, but we went with a well advertised budget trip company who were not as transparent as we would expect. ... Now getting organised to revisit on of our all time favourite cities - New York in October. We like to plan around the street parades in New York - this time it's Columbus Day. Love to hear where you are going on your next travel adventure.

16.01.2022 Thank you Qantas. Despite scheduling problems with some engineering issues and unfriendly weather in Sydney, and smoke from bushfires, we were only one hour late on our two hop journey from Rockhampton yesterday.

12.01.2022 China here we come. Though we are very independent travellers, we chose a tour company because of the language and signage difficulties, and on the surface the price looked attractive. Hidden costs galore. Mandatory tipping of $A12 per person per day is just one "extra" cost we have to bear. Also why is in Australian dollars? We are tipping Chinese guides in AID?? Sounds a bit fishy to me. We may be pleasantly surprised and I won't reveal the name of the company but if anyone is interested, I will share it in a private message.
