25.01.2022 Sometimes self care is in the little things, sometimes the big moments, sometimes it’s in structure, other times it’s in choosing flexibility, it’s in the thinking as well as the action. Sometimes it’s gettin what I need and costs, yet there are times it’s in the stuff money can’t buy. Sometimes it’s in the extraordinary but today for me it’s In the ordinary..... walking my dogs and my own bed. But it’s always filled with generosity, compassion and hiding in the connections. #44actionsofselfcare

23.01.2022 Thanks, Kym Piez for a great session on Gratefulness. Thanks, ladies who were able to join us. For those who weren't able to be in the session, Kym's teaching was recorded in two parts and we paused in the middle to reflect. Here is Part A.
23.01.2022 I challenge you all to build a life where self care is part of the fabric and structure of your life. It’s not just an action that is done at the point of injury or depletion but is intentionally built into your life. It was my first weekend at home for a month and I was reminded that my home routines give me capacity to go into the world and do what the still small whisper calls me too. This weekend I walked on the beach, drank decafe at the river, embroidered, stopped to see the rainbow and reinvigorated my courage! How’s your courage? How are you building a life that nurtures you? #34&35/44 #44actionsofselfcare #sycamorelane

21.01.2022 What a week... self care has been on my mind this week. My husband Tony came home from hospital. So it was a full week and I had to lean into self care that had been put in the bucket on good days to get me through the hard days. I also sang the allmcbeal theme song ( I know it dates me) when I needed a pick me up and made the hard calls when I needed too. But mostly this week has been about being grateful. That Tony is improving, that I have had time with the fur baby’s, for people’s kindness and understanding and in some moments even patience with me. I’m grateful for a weekend at home and that Christmas is close, for safe travel, deep conversations and divine moments. #30-33/44 #44actionsofselfcare #sycamorelane

20.01.2022 Repeat Leading Ladies Questions: This week's questions really sit in a bundle. Quote: "You are the SKY everything else is just the WEATHER passing through" How is my weather in my life? In what way am I making my inner life a priority? How am I experiencing complexity in my inner world? In what ways is my spirit crushed? What has caused my spirit to be crushed? Quote by Vince Lombardi Fatigue makes cowards of us all - "How tired am I feeling? Where am I experiencing Loneliness and where am I experiencing solitude? How is my storm preparation?
18.01.2022 Hello Ladies, have you been missing this week's questions? This week I felt the questions came as a group. Thanks, Susan for providing the questions: Where am I not being emotional truthful? What am I holding in that might out sideways? Are my emotions congruent with my body? What does emotional health look like for me? What do I need to do to maintain my emotional health?

14.01.2022 Self leadership: the art of getting ourselves to our goals. Its being able to care for our daily needs, our health, manage our emotions, and have a level of organisation. Where do I see myself engaging in self leadership? Here are some of my examples: making time to embroider, managing my pain, cooking good food, stopping to care for my body, stopping to be in the moment, reading, excersising! Post photos below

05.01.2022 Leading Ladies Daily Question: What does it look like to say thankyou in my world?
05.01.2022 Good morning everyone, it been an intense week. My husband injured his leg and is in hospital in Sydney. We hope that things are improving! I have made it home to Bega and have had an opportunity for some self care. Yesterday it meant, going slow, connecting with my people and good food #28/44. I'm aware from my study is that its easy on day 1 to engage in an intentional action, and its even easier on day 40, but the hardest time in any project is the messy middle. Today I am encouraging myself to stick with it in the messy middle. This is where the insights are deepest and most likely to make long term change. If your following or privately doing the journey I encourage you to keep going, change is coming! #29/44 #44actionsofselfcare #sycamorelane
05.01.2022 Leading Ladies Daily Questions: How can I foster gratefulness in my journey?
05.01.2022 "What is that in your hand?" Have you ever played cards and wished for a better hand? Some times in life we wish we had a better hand. Maybe if we had more understanding parents, a kinder church, a thinner waistline, more money, better friends (or insert your desire here), then we could be happier. Life would be better. What if you can use the cards you were dealt to be happy? Join Susan Magaitis to explore what is in your hand and how you can use it to win at life. ... Susan Magaitis is a church pastor, wife, leader of small humans and chocolate enthusiast. When she is not completing her duties, she fills her limited quiet moments with creative writing, crocheting and laughing at herself.
03.01.2022 Team leadership is supporting a group of others towards a goal. We are all in teams because we are in families of all different varieties. But we are also part of teams at church, work and sporting groups. Where am I influencing teams? Post photos below!
