25.01.2022 Last week we took a couple of our barista trainees down to our partners at STREAT to learn a bit more about where our coffee comes from before we put it in a cup. This is part of our commitment to build partnerships with great suppliers, and to provide the best in-depth training we can to our volunteers. It was great to see how the roasting process works. To cup a few coffees, and learn how different coffees are selected, and quality is ensured. ... We also learnt a lot about STREAT's commitment to ethical and transparent sourcing of coffee. And we're looking forward to running their new seasonal education blend: Todas Las Damas. This coffee highlights the amazing work women do all around the world producing coffee. And draws our attention to how unfairly many of these women are treated. (And it's delicious!) @ STREAT

19.01.2022 The coffee we're serving at the moment aims to promote the role of women in coffee production. Women provide a disproportionate amount of labour for what they make in the coffee industry. Thanks to the STREAT team and their commitment to ethical business we're trying to promote women in coffee production. 'Todas Las Damas' features coffee from a family run eco-village in Nicaragua, and a program helping women after unrest in Colombia.... We're serving them together in our espresso.
