Can we recognise what we have AVERSION or CRAVING towards, and in doing so, shift from an unconscious state of suffering and reactivity to a place of acceptance and contentment. How much of our physical reality is only made worse by mental aversion? How much internal suffering do we create by wanting things to be different when in reality no amount of craving will change a thing to your present moment reality? ...How much softer would it feel to give up the mental battle and simply surrender into reality. Sit with it, just the way it is, just for now. Knowing that things will change, as it always does, as it always will. Your reaction will not change the nature of change, life goes on with or without our willingness to abide. In times like we currently face where our fight-or-flight response has been heightened, its easy to revert into this reactionary state more than is necessary or constructive. Right now, comparatively, if we have our health, and the means to survive and support those who depend on us, what more do we really need? #yoga #philosophy #equanimity #gratitude
