Blacktown Council is currently seeking input from SFC in regard to new street names for housing developments in the suburb of Schofields, where our old airfield once resided. These could be names of foundation members, meritorious or illustrious members, or perhaps aircraft or events associated with the club. Specifically they require: Names suitable for residential streets, that is, names people can live w...ith as part of an address; The origin or meaning of the names; Names to be unique in spelling and sound within the Blacktown council area, and at least 10km from a similar name in any direction (you can check with Google Maps or similar).
