13.05.2022 Man charged after stabbing at railway station - Parramatta A man will face court today after being charged following the stabbing of a man in Parramatta earlier this week. About 1pm on Wednesday (17 February 2021), emergency services were called to Parramatta railway station where they found a 41-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.... He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition, where he underwent surgery. Following inquiries, officers from Parramatta Police Area Command arrested a man at a unit in Gibbons Street, Auburn, at about 8pm yesterday (Thursday 18 February 2021). The 23-year-old man was taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The man was refused bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court today (Friday 19 February 2021).

29.04.2022 Former priest charged over alleged historic sexual assaults - Strike Force Belle Police have charged a former priest over alleged historical sexual assaults in the state’s central-west. In 2008, Strike Force Belle was formed by detectives from Chifley Police District to investigate the alleged sexual and indecent assaults of students at two secondary colleges in Bathurst between 1960 and 1993.... Last year, strike force detectives received a report of the alleged sexual assault of a nine-year-old boy in the mid 80’s. Following inquiries, officers from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad attended a home in Randwick yesterday (Thursday 18 February 2021), and arrested an 85-year-old former priest. He was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with two counts of sexual intercourse with person under the age of 10 years and three counts of sexual intercourse person 10 and under 16 under authority. The man was bail refused and was remanded to re-appear at Waverly Court today (Friday 19 February 2021). This is the 14th priest or former priest to be charged by Strike Force Belle, and as inquiries continue, detectives urge anyone with information to contact investigators. 19.04.2022 Man assaulted in home invasion - Macquarie Fields A man has been injured during a home invasion in Sydney’s south-west overnight. About 1.30am today (Friday 19 February 2021), three men wearing balaclavas broke into a house in Adam Place, Macquarie Fields.... The three men were holding knives and what appeared to be firearms. They demanded the two occupants give them money and drugs, but were told there was neither at the location. One of the occupants was then punched and kicked by the men. They then caused damage to the house, before leaving with two gaming consoles. The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics for facial injuries and was later taken to Campbelltown Hospital. Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident. Any witnesses are urged to contact Campbelltown City police or Crime Stoppers.

02.04.2022 Appeal for witnesses following serious crash - Baulkham Hills Police are appealing for public assistance as inquiries continue into a serious crash at Baulkham Hills last month. Just before 8.30am on Saturday 30 January 2021, emergency services were called to Seven Hills Road, after reports a Nissan Micra and a Kia Sportage had collided head-on.... The Nissan driver, a 31-year-old woman, was trapped in the vehicle before she was released and taken to Westmead Hospital with multiple fractures. The Kia driver, a 36-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Westmead Hospital. Officers from the Hills Police Area Command attended, with officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit commencing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. As inquiries continue, investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or the events leading up to it, to contact police. In particular, they would like to speak with the driver of a small white vehicle seen in the area at the time, who they believe may have witnessed the crash or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
