Individual career planning has ensured that our students have achieved ideal career placements with international youth companies and scholarships at prestigious state schools and universities with links to world class companies. Preparing a dancer for a professional career is a holistic process. A dancer needs to work not only on nutrition and physical health, but on a positive mindset to nurture resilience and confidence. ...Constantly resetting long and short-term goals is a career long process for successful dancers. An important part of the mentoring process at SCD is the valuable input of different experts in various fields. Students at SCD are encouraged to view the achievement of long-term goals as a series of small successes through focusing on the present moment.
